I wanna know what's gonna happen to the loot. Will it still drop after the event in other places? (Ex: Numa Prime, Delta 7, etc.) Or will they be like the jetpacks and never seen drop again...?

No, Sam told us that you could keep the flamethrower even after the event.

not to be greedy, but time to horde as much as you can...but DotD has always been a funny aspect to the game.
i have been collecting sets...and its good to buy different levels of flamethrowers...just in-case you feel the eager to level up an alt.
Has happened in PL, so yea...you never know...just like jetpack event also.

Seems like a lot of work for people buying 5 platinum flamethrowers for only a week, then there's the gold option.
