I agree with saiyen. We will all die of old age before these vanities go up in value, there is just way too many of them and by the end of the event, hundreds of thousands of each.

The vanities are pretty much useless now.
They are even easier to acquire than orange items.
Sts,Pls nerf the drop rate.
Think about the merchs who will suffer from this ridiculously high drop rate...

i didn't mention anything about making money off these vanities. I did mention, if you would of read the the entire post instead of just the title, that i was tired of the AH spam.

edit: in fact i know exactly why they did it the way they did. They're avoiding the issue they're having with these other events they did with rare drops; making them rare + discontinued = hoarders enjoying them and other new players can't. unless your rich you can't get ahold of a discontinued vanity. Now that the game is filled to the brim with these things i can guarantee these things will be at MAX around 10k each in 7-8 months just like jetpacks. Letting newer players enjoy the vanities without spending a arm and a leg. It's just a bit overwhelming thats all which is why i mentioned 'a little bit' not a huge change.

These auction house spammers are paying creds to list their items. And they paid money for extra auction slots.

Perhaps "a little bit" less whiny is good.
