yah, that's not how this event works at all. This event isn't to bring back exclusive vanities. It's to bring new vanities to the game out of old items that were equipment, not vanities. Like Twin Razorbacks, Frost touched bow, Elondrian Bow, etc. These were all weapons.....

I know bringing a set like this out of vanity doesn't stand a chance because of the rarity and being a historic set, but what if you free up revenue to turn into vanity? Thus, it would maintain the rarity of numbers by having only a vanity amount and an exact amount that it has in the game today, and only the owners of these sets can decide if they will become vanity or not.
the owners would have the option of turning it into vanity or staying.
just as it was done with the arcane items kershal, BBBooks, and Maul.
the difference would be that kershal, bbhooks and maul can be acquired initially by chest, rare sets cannot.

Tabard is a vanity that is both cool and it was bound.

SUGGESTION:
Vanity weapons should also be able to change the attack effects, you see when we attack we can see that pink, blue, and green ray coming from the weapon, especially when you charge the weapon you can see those very clearly but instead of keeping the normal pink, blue, and green effects adding adding an effect based on the vanity can improve the hype of using vanity weapons. For example when using the Nordr Jewel Staff, it should have an ice or snow effect when in use, basic attacks has snow effects while charge attacks have blizzard effects(it doesn't affect battle though). For rogues and warriors that do not use magic, the effects should be applied when an enemy is defeated. Attacking looks dull when there's no hyped effect, some vanities have this effect that when an enemy is defeated there's an effect like the Infinity aura, Cybercrush aura, and Tempered set, their effects are fine but it lacks the impact because the weapon still releases the same pink, blue, and green light of the equipped weapon.

The vanities would hit the market fast allowing people to get their hands on them, noone would lose the value of their older collectables and it would take up less space on the servers. Just select some items you want to allow and have at it.

Btw I have a big amount of gold invested in collectibles, but maybe for high end ones like heraldic or crier. If you were to do that idea. Give vanity owners the option to show the number of the level of what the armor, and or helmet was on the vanity. And the ability to turn the number on or off in options. Can we please have a vanity of the Foreunner? We've been begging since the idea of a forgotten vanity event came to be. Every player loves the looks of it, it's old Arcane Legends, and it's a perfect fit for this event!

It also be really cool if we could get the OG jester back. It was not leaderboard (as far as I am aware) and it's a very old and now rare vanity. I for 1 would love to see it come back.

I agree. I see this event each year slowly but surely destroying the history of the old items. I know alot of people would argue that the items that have been turned thus far are no big deal and maybe so but eventually if this event continues there will be less and less of whats left of the past to share with the newcomers.make fun if you wish to but Ive been here a really longtime just as many of you have. Think long and hard on what this is doing to our story.

because they (jord, eloia, galen) already have vanity vanity set armor & helmet before. So if sts releases vanity jord staff, eloia bow and galen sword into vanity will be even better.

Most of the items being turned into vanity are not worth much at all as far as gold goes. Thats not the value im personally talking about. So your statement about us being scared the prices will drop is null & void. Its the fact that we have held onto something for years and years & like to have something few others have. its not about the value in gold or i would have sold my stuff already. Its about the history.

All items that are rare need to stay rare. Ik people want rare vanities back, but there are alot of beautiful vanities out there that are not very expensive but usable. If u want rare vanities, try get one at the right moment. Btw STS said already they have a policy to not re-release old vanities again. If u want an vanity so bad, try get one that looks like it and have the same colors. I am sure STS will release an vanity what will make you happy about it. Vanities like BB - Maul - Kershal are meant to be rare. I dont want to brag, but don't cry about vanities to come back and that ruining the meaning of rare vanities.

Lmao, reading through this and seeing the amount of people asking for forerunner and some other extremely rare collectibles is absurd.

Why ruin rare collectibles by bringing them back as vanities? The rare collectibles symbolise AL's history.

Seeing hundreds of people running around AL with forerunner vanities is quite frankly insulting to collectors and OG players such as myself.

Like seriously... What do you want next? Flurry set? Betrayer set? Orange founder set? If AL release items like this, it will ruin their history and the collectible market.

Doing it even once will disappoint not only the people who have it but also
those who adore rarity and treasure discontinued items. Collecting is a big part
of the game and what makes those vanity special.
If they do that for true collector item, ie crier heralic, that means they will do it for
other vanities, any sense of that will bring no benefit but chaos as exclusiveness
is violated, even one violation can foreshadow thousands of times to come.

Ps. Theres a recolor of hera set called steel hera. Nobody use it because its not rare
you will think that way regardless of what that is if its everywhere, too

No reason to worry about discontinued, limited-edition, LB, ultra-rare vanity items coming back.

The event is clearly about taking great-looking equipment from old campaigns and making vanity versions of it.

I love the suggestions in this thread related to certain NPC weapons and clothing... and will be looking into that.

But there's no need to argue with players suggesting things that aren't going to happen.

@Cinco I had a retention in making some of those long posts where I express my feeling about my overall experience with your game because somehow I thought I ll just end up wasting my time without having a concretization of some of those ideas in the end. Instead of having those forgotten cool looking equipment pieces converted to vanities only for one week of event, I d rather convert the current useless equipment all over the game into some kind of shards of pieces and have an npc in every town that will sell some chests or vanities versions for each of those pieces. The grind should be serious but at least will activate some of the old maps that are no longer populated once people advance in levels.

For example the outdated Magma equipment and the affiliated weapons from Kalen in Expedition Camp could become vanity items instead, requesting a higher amount of currency to be obtained. Those items would become bound on equip. For the forgotten event I would choose to make available just those vanityes from older events as there are newer ppl that didn t had the chance to get them in the past. If in 2014 Ursoth event for example I people had the chance to get a vanity set for 3000 tokens or by completing the platinum tier, the grind in the forgotten event should be appropriate and make people choose to grind for one of the available items of the past and if they want to get all of them, either grind like hell or choose to buy the rest from other players that used the elixir you re selling and dropped the vanity. I don't see the point in having so many dead locations over the year and only one week of intense farming to get what other people spend a good amount of effort to obtain in the past.
