It's time! Elondria needs your aid!

Ursoth is back and his portal to assault Arlor from his native realm of Elondria is open once again. An Orc Blood shaman named Bloodgrub discovered one of Ursoth's portals but was soundly defeated before she could prevail. Bloodgrub, having dealt in dark magic her whole life, has discovered a new way to grow in power, and she is spreading her corruption throughout Arlor. Now the Elondrian Rangers need your help. Help them fight off Bloodgrub's corruption and return Elondria to its natural splendor!

Ursoth's Assault will run for 2 weeks, starting on Thursday, 5/12/2022 ~1:30 PM CT and ending on Thursday, 5/26/2022 at 1:30pm CDT with a 3 day cooldown.

How to Play

It begins by talking to an Elondrian Ambassador in most major cities. You can also go to Elondria via the Main Map.

Energy

Energy is used to enter the portal to fight Ursoth's Assault bosses. One energy point will refill automatically every 8 hours. Refill your energy faster by collecting energy essences from monsters all around Arlor and crafting them into energy kits. Rarely, bosses will drop an entire energy point to fill one energy slot. Or, purchase Energy Kits from other players via the Consignment Shop for gold. You may also purchase energy for platinum at the Elondria token vendor or as you enter the portal in town.

Bosses

Enter the portal in Elondria to visit the event boss zone to defeat the newly corrupted bosses and earn loot and tokens to trade for limited edition items and vanities. There are 5 bosses to fight in Ursoth's Assault. Harder bosses may appear at higher tiers and grant more rewards and tokens. Defeat bosses to earn points and progress through the tiers: Bronze, Silver, Gold and Platinum to fight:

+ Herond the Forest Sprite
+ Europhex the Basilisk
+ Helena, Lady of the Forest
+ The Great Troll Ursoth

Then, there's: Bloodgrub.

Bloodgrub's Altar becomes active after you have killed one of the corrupted bosses in the Event Zone. Using Blood Grub's Doll will open a portal to BloodGrub's Fane, granting temporary access to everyone in the immediate vicinity. This portal will always take you to Bloodgrub.

Bloodgrub's Doll is composed of components from the event and the main world.

Few things I would like to see changed/fixed before the release, in my opinion:

I don't see why there are locked crates as a reward in gold tier. The pet looks cool but also I don't see it to be a relevant reward for gold tier as it doesn't have anything special afar from look. At this point gold tier rewards are basically "just to be something there". I would change those rewards for something more interesting.

The mage vanity gun position has a glitch like most of the other guns whitch isn't a pleasant thing to look at.

Plat tier bound magna and victus rune bags should be unbound assuming the amount won't make you a higher tier artifact. Most people won't craft the artifacts anyway or they already got one so having some extra magna sitting in your inventory without a purpose won't be a cool thing.

You will release 4 new auras and all premium. I would have moved one as plat tier reward, and magna runes, elixirs for gold reward. That will make the event even cooler. We appreciate your work but some of us feel excluded when people who can affors to spend cash each event control the market and get all the deals in time.

Please let us know whitch are the other 2 pieces for elondrian mythic set as it is not clearly mentiomed in the post.

Wake up bud. It is a mmo. You will never be able to be best of the beat every time in those kind of games. I haven't played seasonal or any kind of leaderboard event as I don t have interest in such content and even If I wanted a badge, I could live without one. Badges looks cool but trust me, it is more important for who achieved it rather than anyone else who see it sloted in other's preview window. Same thing goes for anything in the game, including leaderboard. In an utopic world everyone could get top 1 as the system allows players with the same score to have the same position but people are too crazy about winning and don't care about others. This is a game that sits on player's addiction and desire for being the best, for having the best. And where they succed with their bussines plan, you and other fail, mainly to understand that not everything spins around you, but the fact that you are the one who makes things spin. So good luck with your goals for the seasonal leaderboard and may the rewards bring you the joy and peace you need. But until then anchor yourself in the reality and realise the fact that you can get a "free" badge too to wear.

@Cinco, buddy, can you spoke to the designer who is in charge making those vanities to try and avoid making staffs that have the handling of the weapon on the side positon? It looks a bit strange handling the weapon from the extreme side especially when you are a tiny mage and I noticed this in most of the recent designs. Just holding the weapon from the middle would be much better in my opinion. I ve attached an example where I also changed the proportion of the staff a bit.

What's ugly about it?

From what I can see, this ursoth LB vanity has a theme that looks uniquely designed with the fine details of a tree, apparently it is not just a few colour paint but it takes some curves and stacking designs (especially when compared to recent years previous LB vanities that have been pretty plain), this one looks one of a kind.

So how's that zero effort?

It's time! Elondria needs your aid!

Ursoth is back and his portal to assault Arlor from his native realm of Elondria is open once again. An Orc Blood shaman named Bloodgrub discovered one of Ursoth's portals but was soundly defeated before she could prevail. Bloodgrub, having dealt in dark magic her whole life, has discovered a new way to grow in power, and she is spreading her corruption throughout Arlor. Now the Elondrian Rangers need your help. Help them fight off Bloodgrub's corruption and return Elondria to its natural splendor!

Ursoth's Assault will run for 2 weeks, starting on Thursday, 5/12/2020 ~1:30 PM CT and ending on Thursday, 5/26/2020 at 1:30pm CDT with a 3 day cooldown.

How to Play

It begins by talking to an Elondrian Ambassador in most major cities. You can also go to Elondria via the Main Map.

Energy is used to enter the portal to fight Ursoth's Assault bosses. One energy point will refill automatically every 8 hours. Refill your energy faster by collecting energy essences from monsters all around Arlor and crafting them into energy kits. Rarely, bosses will drop an entire energy point to fill one energy slot. Or, purchase Energy Kits from other players via the Consignment Shop for gold. You may also purchase energy for platinum at the Elondria token vendor or as you enter the portal in town.

Bosses

Enter the portal in Elondria to visit the event boss zone to defeat the newly corrupted bosses and earn loot and tokens to trade for limited edition items and vanities. There are 5 bosses to fight in Ursoth's Assault. Harder bosses may appear at higher tiers and grant more rewards and tokens. Defeat bosses to earn points and progress through the tiers: Bronze, Silver, Gold and Platinum to fight:

- Are Massive Locks from Gold Tier unlockeds?
- Do any of the vanity sets from this event actually have a set aura that activates when the player wears the complete set?
- Is the Platinum Tier Badge tradeable?
- Can we get a list of the complete loot table of each event boss?
- Do the Elondrian Mythics have procs?
- Is that pink lightsaber obtainable somehow or was is just used for fun of the testing runs?
Are there any further plans for Victus and Magna runes other than crafting the lvl60 arcane artifacts?

Suggestions:
- Change color from Day Blossom sets or a lighter pink so it looks more similar to an actual sakura blossom.
- Add Elondrian related Heroic/Arcane Pets to the Token Vendor.
- In case Gold Tier Massive Locks aren't unlocked, add crate keys to allow us to open them.
- Make Heroic Hamad as a super rare drop from Ursoth and as a rare drop from Bloodgrub.
- Make a recipe that let's us use our useless Marsh locks to craft Elondrian Locks.
- Add unlocked Elondrian Locks and Ursoth's Assault Farmer lixs to each of the tiers.
- Replace the 100 ankh kits with 50, 100, 200 platinum bound chests for Top50, 25, 10 respectively.

I really hope there are actually decent loots from Ursoth, otherwise for those who can't afford running Bloodgrub it'll be a pretty boring event and the vendor really needs a push, 2 vanity sets, 1 vanity banner and recipes to craft chests, while I appreciate the new vanity designs, don't make both similar looking vanities obtainable through the same way, add pets and some kind of good looking furnitures to the Token Vendor, maybe even an artifact, doesn't matter if it's weaker on stats but give it some kind of wisp and proc related to the Elondrian theme.

I like the idea of badge being accessible to all players. It's just like vanity. Most badges are with players who really like game more than life but now remaining players would also have some which would be with everyone. So rarity wise, I don't know why so much hate for new badges for everyone. This badge just wouldn't be rare. Same concept as normal vanity vs lb vanity/ rare vanity.

It's time! Elondria needs your aid!

Ursoth is back and his portal to assault Arlor from his native realm of Elondria is open once again. An Orc Blood shaman named Bloodgrub discovered one of Ursoth's portals but was soundly defeated before she could prevail. Bloodgrub, having dealt in dark magic her whole life, has discovered a new way to grow in power, and she is spreading her corruption throughout Arlor. Now the Elondrian Rangers need your help. Help them fight off Bloodgrub's corruption and return Elondria to its natural splendor!

Ursoth's Assault will run for 2 weeks, starting on Thursday, 5/12/2020 ~1:30 PM CT and ending on Thursday, 5/26/2020 at 1:30pm CDT with a 3 day cooldown.

How to Play

It begins by talking to an Elondrian Ambassador in most major cities. You can also go to Elondria via the Main Map.

Energy

Energy is used to enter the portal to fight Ursoth's Assault bosses. One energy point will refill automatically every 8 hours. Refill your energy faster by collecting energy essences from monsters all around Arlor and crafting them into energy kits. Rarely, bosses will drop an entire energy point to fill one energy slot. Or, purchase Energy Kits from other players via the Consignment Shop for gold. You may also purchase energy for platinum at the Elondria token vendor or as you enter the portal in town.

Bosses

Enter the portal in Elondria to visit the event boss zone to defeat the newly corrupted bosses and earn loot and tokens to trade for limited edition items and vanities. There are 5 bosses to fight in Ursoth's Assault. Harder bosses may appear at higher tiers and grant more rewards and tokens. Defeat bosses to earn points and progress through the tiers: Bronze, Silver, Gold and Platinum to fight:

+ Herond the Forest Sprite
+ Europhex the Basilisk
+ Helena, Lady of the Forest
+ The Great Troll Ursoth

Then, there's: Bloodgrub.

Bloodgrub's Altar becomes active after you have killed one of the corrupted bosses in the Event Zone. Using Blood Grub's Doll will open a portal to BloodGrub's Fane, granting temporary access to everyone in the immediate vicinity. This portal will always take you to Bloodgrub.

Wake up bud. It is a mmo. You will never be able to be best of the beat every time in those kind of games. I haven't played seasonal or any kind of leaderboard event as I don t have interest in such content and even If I wanted a badge, I could live without one. Badges looks cool but trust me, it is more important for who achieved it rather than anyone else who see it sloted in other's preview window. Same thing goes for anything in the game, including leaderboard. In an utopic world everyone could get top 1 as the system allows players with the same score to have the same position but people are too crazy about winning and don't care about others. This is a game that sits on player's addiction and desire for being the best, for having the best. And where they succed with their bussines plan, you and other fail, mainly to understand that not everything spins around you, but the fact that you are the one who makes things spin. So good luck with your goals for the seasonal leaderboard and may the rewards bring you the joy and peace you need. But until then anchor yourself in the reality and realise the fact that you can get a "free" badge too to wear.

I like the fact that people that grind to get plat tier can get a badge. Some of us work full time jobs and don't have the time to stay on top of the leaderboards or even make it there. But we spend good money on a game that we love so we should be able to EARN a badge as well. In a few months, as soon as a free badge is released at each event. And badges become stupidly common, to the point that every char will have at least one. The same ones who support this, at this moment will be the same ones who complain that the market is overcrowded with worthless badges.
There you have countless examples, colour titles, banner, vanitys, auras, etc...
Sts and his tendency to kill, everything he throws.
I don't support extreme rarity of certain items, but going back to an extremely common item is a mistake.

Alot of players dont even have badges shown so whatever achievement you are trying to show off doesn't get seen by half the people anyways lol. Kind of like you are wasting your time on both fronts.I seriously dont get the point of people that are against badges. Should we remove all vanities because some of you have lb vanities? Every badge is different for different achievements. Why so much fuss over some new badge that will be pretty common soon? It would not hurt the uniqueness of lb badges in any way.
Their arguments sound like : "we have branded clothes, therefore rest world should be naked"

I busted my butt for my badge last year. Probably ran 18hrs a day. Now it can be earned from platinum tier which is usually reached on the first day if u run well [emoji24] i hope those plat tier points are like 650k or something

I busted my butt for my badge too, but I am not gonna begrudge anyone a badge in an event that everyone can achieve. It gives new people a chance to feel like what it is to have a badge...everyone will know that it was from the ursoth event where EVERYONE could get it, not one of the hard ones where we had to grind for, so I dont see what the big deal is. It may encourage more players to stick with the game instead of always being disappointed.

The badge reward for Platinum Tier goes a long way to address the longstanding issues of Tier rewards not being worth the run. LB runners will remember the first time an aura was made available for Top 10 (and might even recall the recent trade-friendly aura for same). Obviously we could have prevented the wisp / aura category of reward from ever being offered for LB - but we didn't... and it was great for that specific event, and the game overall!

While it is poor logic to assert that that a unique badge for Platinum Tier or a looted badge erase the value of badges as a category of reward outside of LB - I believe the subtext here is that having any badge is a powerful signifier in this era of Arlor. And I do understand this. If badges were categorically uninspiring (like 'wisps' or standard-color Titles) nobody would care that they become more prolific. It is the very fact that badges are a big deal which makes them a suitable reward for categories outside of LB to improve the overall quality and fun factor of Arcane Legends.

Badges as a category of reward will inevitably become like other categories (vanity outfits, banners, colored Titles, etc.). And like these other categories we'll see distinctions emerge by virtue of the specific elements as opposed to the category itself. True, the era of distinction by virtue of just having a badge has ended - but the era of having that specific OP badge has just begun.

No the gold is not in the list of guaranteed items. It's equipment at Heroic Hamad's egg.

You could say that all RNG loot is bad for HC (which is also part of what makes HC so difficult) - and while this crate is a substantial improvement over previous locked crates it does not have the option to loot only specific stuff for your class :-)

Ursoth is back and his portal to assault Arlor from his native realm of Elondria is open once again. An Orc Blood shaman named Bloodgrub discovered one of Ursoth's portals but was soundly defeated before she could prevail. Bloodgrub, having dealt in dark magic her whole life, has discovered a new way to grow in power, and she is spreading her corruption throughout Arlor. Now the Elondrian Rangers need your help. Help them fight off Bloodgrub's corruption and return Elondria to its natural splendor!

Ursoth's Assault will run for 2 weeks, starting on Thursday, 5/12/2022 ~1:30 PM CT and ending on Thursday, 5/26/2022 at 1:30pm CDT with a 3 day cooldown.

How to Play

It begins by talking to an Elondrian Ambassador in most major cities. You can also go to Elondria via the Main Map.

Energy is used to enter the portal to fight Ursoth's Assault bosses. One energy point will refill automatically every 8 hours. Refill your energy faster by collecting energy essences from monsters all around Arlor and crafting them into energy kits. Rarely, bosses will drop an entire energy point to fill one energy slot. Or, purchase Energy Kits from other players via the Consignment Shop for gold. You may also purchase energy for platinum at the Elondria token vendor or as you enter the portal in town.

Bosses

Enter the portal in Elondria to visit the event boss zone to defeat the newly corrupted bosses and earn loot and tokens to trade for limited edition items and vanities. There are 5 bosses to fight in Ursoth's Assault. Harder bosses may appear at higher tiers and grant more rewards and tokens. Defeat bosses to earn points and progress through the tiers: Bronze, Silver, Gold and Platinum to fight:

+ Europhex the Basilisk
+ Helena, Lady of the Forest

Then, there's: Bloodgrub.

It wouldn't be terrible to offer that for HC right? The amount of locks I've opened to get the 1 piece I need is laughable. I know I'm not the only one. It's kinda frustrating playing HC and being stuck without moving forward onto the final maps in-game because of this. I like the guaranteed loot but it would, be better to have just 1 token only not reset. You get 1 choice per event to pick which item you want after opening x amount of locks. If we open all those and the guaranteed item is just for another class it's pointless. I opened multiple other class items already at least give us 1 haha. Anyways pretty nice event so far.

Objectively, I can see how anti-event badges players value hardwork, dedication, competence and skill. I can also see why sts chose to please the majority instead of the select few who values the aforementioned qualities.

The common ground I can see at this point is if sts continues to do this in the long term, each major event with a plat tier badge, the towns would not be flooded with the exact same uniform but with a variety. It only appears to be nullifying now because this is the first event that does this. In years to come, more people would be having a select few kind of badges to wear and there would be more distinctions than there's now. Consider this a fashion trend that would pass.

There will be more varieties soon that would make it more distinctive like "ohh I did this event this year" and "ohh you did that event that year", effort here in this context can be subjective such that they decided to forgo some rl stuff to commit a certain time to the events which they would have otherwise skipped the event traditionally because of busyness in rl but this time they inconvenient themselves to commit to that event to get that badge so it does show something. Relatively speaking of course it can't compare to those who did the LB badges but it shows a different kind of effort regardless.

But most players can't play for many hours because they simply don't have time. Then if you count runs for hauntlet for energy and then event runs, many can barely reach plat tier before event is over. And I think 2 hours daily grind is more than enough hard work to get the badge. It's a virtual item, imo current plat tier award is barely enough to justify the time spent. More grind does not necessarily make the game enjoyable.

You should change your name to "misunderstand", you ignored my whole argument to say that I don't want to see other people's work when I actually do, I don't know what the point of that was anyway.
On the contrary, I clearly said that it is not hard to get to plat tier, and of course I value the work of those who got a badge in LB in the past and it was also one of my goals.
Goal that was distorted, since having a badge apparently lost its meaning, becoming a vanity or title of the bunch.
Also for your information, if I use the hide badges or title option, I also hide my own badge and title. With which I don't know what you want to imply.
It doesn't seem like you are been to a city or map currently though, saturated with auras, things flying or crawling, colored titles, and now badges.
I also read what Cinco said about the variety and the tier prizes. And now seems innovative to give badges to everyone, because it is something that most never had and that was a goal for many, which is also why this idea is popular, but in a few months when it is saturated with badges, it will lose its value quickly, and people will complain again that the awards are useless, as happened with the titles or banners, at this point I think nothing has been learned.

Previously, i tried to be clear and I think I succeeded, making my points.I think the most probable reason for players slowly not being satisfied with plat tier award (titles, banners, badges) is that majority of players are not rich which directly translates to poor equip and pet which makes gold one of the most important focus for them. Now if after doing grinding for days they reach plat tier, do they get anything that can result in them being more wealthy? And the answer is no coz they get titles, banner, badge which although nice, wasn't their focus. That's why most player grind event for tokens actually to sell chests and other things which rich player buy to grind for lb. Vanity, titles, badges only matter when the basic motivation of being rich and having good equipment and pets is satisfied.
Idk if this analysis is totally accurate coz it's based on my experience in game.
