Well that wasn't very hard....lol...

Got 2 my very first run after the update...took me all of 30 seconds to get the new "rare" item...I have gotten many...many more since then.
As you can see, I turned 1 into the Fire Star, and the other is in my inventory.

Which map was this on? I looked through the data quickly to check and they should in deed be quite rare.

Edit: The rarity level is set correctly, you may have had a lot of pent up luck!

i've got about 8 now, i found 2 in 2 runs of one mission "The Fox Den" in Dark Hollow Campaign. But ultimately every single map drops them. They get dropped from trash mobs, trash cans, bookcases, chests, dead bodies, letterboxes, everything. Not sure about bosses yet though

I made this thread within 5 minutes of the release of the new gem....

The Fox Den thing is curious though, because Carapace was having me test that map for a glitch. Your findings confirm that.

Rate is extreme with elixer, dead end drops like crazy sometimes up to 3 in a run.

Shard drops is MOST maps, and is very easily attained with luck elixirs.

I say MOST maps because some maps seem to drop the normal pink fire shard....while the others drop the purified fire shard.
I've gotten the purified shard from many different maps now.

but it shouldn't really matter... cos i lost the early chance.... all just cos an annoying ban set me back.... but red will be in my eyes!
