Make clear instructions for crafting gears, including all the steps to reach the final product. Why put an item in a crate that can be opened if it’s the crated item needed for the final product? I have lost my recipe and shard. Lindsey@support refuses to help.

Can be upgraded to a Cryoworm Heart... should say warning don’t open this crate to upgrade.

I've read this several times in an attempt to understand what you're asking for and I can't figure it out. It may also help to state what you're trying to craft as well as the problem you ran into.

I crafted the unidentified cryoworm brooch with the end goal of upgrading to cryoworm heart, the first craft comes out as a crate, which i opened. Then I find out it needs to stay crated for the upgrade.

Looks like only some of the brooches can be crafted to the heart, so I'll add recipes for the missing ones.
