Not really since you will be able to wear double aura or combo your para effect on the gear with another aura. So still valuable. Same goes with collectors. They can use their collected gears to decorate their houses. The sad part for some old players is that they won't make huge moneu overnight just because they used to play for one week in the past when those items were widely available in the game. Instead will bring more joy to those who happily remember the good old days.

I see. Understand something with the range of geared player's in this game how hard you really think the difficulty of a Solo version is really going to be? I mean seriously? Also they have done this in the past with a Pirate Event and it was Easy, Boring, and I didn't feel any type of personal achievement tbh with you.

STS could disable Premade Party for this event. So it would be random join only. So the range of Op Geared, Decently Geared, and Poorly Geared would be different every run for the most part.

I expect Ursoth's level of difficulty. I do understand some of the concerns you guys have and I do agree with you on the social aspect but again, it is not like you really socialize inside the map during the fight. I mostly get distracted when I run group content amd people have to wait for me or fight without me and sometimes it happens the same exact thing with other players and it feels annoying. I think there is enough room outside event to socialize and I find fod this particular event the best way to play it solo. If a player who have just started can afford to do with easiness the map that I do after I've spent month/years and virtual/real currency to get gears that will help me reduce my time in combat, it won't simply be a fair deal. Same thing goes for those who choose to support the game and pay for exclusive things and those who can't affort pr simply don't want to spend cash besides time to play the game. Both category are indispensable for such mecanism to function. So take it as it is or come with valid arguments that doesn't involve a subjective opinion.

If it wasn’t for collectors all those years ago seeing the value and uniqueness in the items, nobody would be talking about them let alone BEGGING for them to be rereleased. You and many others seem to confuse merchers/price manipulators with collectors, collectors didn’t get caught selling gold or vanity causing everything to go up in price.

If you want to reminisce about the good old days come visit some of our houses, you can see all the collectables you suddenly got interested in on displays, and if you want to own something then buy it like everyone else did.

Me and cinco were dming each other and i really thought he cared for people like us who love to collect these beutiful peices that quite frankly nothing has came out looking as good as some of these collectables in many many years. Think it might be time to sell these rare pieces I got sometime soon when I get the chance. and a having spent over $2,500 on this game I can say I will not longer try growing my net by spending real money. 100% the devs do great jobs at alot of events and additions to the game, but folding to the community when they complain about wanting old stuff back because they aren’t “old players” so they weren’t around then, doesn’t seem fair.

I own and collected 15+ para mythic/legendary weapons, bringing back para aura, dumb idea but they should have recolored it to keep para special, but now all nabs can get para that couldnt originally afford it..

If we had not collected them back then making them rare then noone would want them now and the items would be worthless.

I have collected for over 8 years and the things i collect and others collect make up the history of the game. If there is nothing here that is rare, desirable and that seems unobtainable then where's the magic?

My only requested for the..."Forgotten Vanity Event is that we Forget the Forgotten Vanity Event.

As for using them in a map... You do know you can change your clothes with One touch of a button. If you need help setting that up let me know. I enjoy helping people.

I have collected for over 8 years and the things i collect and others collect make up the history of the game. If there is nothing here that is rare, desirable and that seems unobtainable then where's the magic?

My only requested for the..."Forgotten Vanity Event is that we Forget the Forgotten Vanity Event.

As for using them in a map... You do know you can change your clothes with One touch of a button. If you need help setting that up let me know. I enjoy helping people.

I own a couple of cool looking items, and I bought them when they were cheap but now they worth a lot. I don't mind them bringing those items back since everyone should have a chance to be able to enjoy cool stuff without having to pay a fortune.

I know a decent amount of collector who keep a lot of collectible in their house and hardly ever equip them.

And I am not sure where devs made a post branding certain items as "collectibles", it's the players who decided. Devs don't have to go along with it.

Its not about 1 or 2 or 100 vanity versions being made. Its about slowly picking apart something that took 10 years to build and for what?

If the only way to wear these sets as vanity were to first own the gear version, noobs will still be crying because it’s “unfair”. TLDR; We've updated the event dungeon to support full parties.

Details: Restricting to 'solo only' would definitely keep these vanities quite rare - but the main reason we set it up this way was based on available development time. Originally it seemed like the we would not have enough time to properly balance a new event level that allowed players to run ghost party / solo and in full groups at all levels. Fortunately things have changed! OP has been edited (to remove reference to 'solo only'). Best wishes!

Never chose to spend gold or legendary/epic gears which were bound to turn into vanities at some point. I chose to spend my gold on vanities which gave me much more in return or ran leaderboards which gave me items only some players in game have. I rather collect furniture than these low level items which can CLEARLY lose their value once turned into vanities. Because in case you didnt know there is an event called Forgotten Vanity Event. Ill send u the link if you cant find it…

@cinco love the firebug aura , but with the para aura to compensate to the collectors of the para gem items . could you consider stacking the para aura with a para item . so while wearing a para item + para aura , the area of aura is doubled in size .

I understand why people want such items like forerunner, heraldics, etc to be re-released. They are some of the best looking things in AL, but that's like saying;
I want ker'shal to be released, I want bbhooks, I want immortal weapons, I want medusa, frank, ETC, ETC, ETC...

To all these people running around with expensive vanities or even mid vanities, how would you feel if AL decided to re-release your favorite vanity?
That is how it feels to us.
We spend ALOT longer collecting rare items than regular players do trying to get vanities.
A single collection can take YEARS of endless searching, even for a single item, then for STS to re-release that certain item, years of work lost? So imagine AL did that to your vanities, how would you feel?

All of these none-collectors hating on us, but in reality we are a huge community of people that are just trying to remember AL for how it used to be.

as a collector, I keep what **I**earn and sell the rest...and have been playing for years. having a game closed to new players and old ones that lose an account is awful. people want to collect, but as old items are retired....gold values inflation is at an all-time high...so does it seem fair to gouge in price when the person collecting spends most of their funds on 1 item.

what kills a game is not becoming flexible. I value my time, I value my items...and I value this game to flourish like it has all these years. but being locked to "EXCLUSIVE PLAYERS" is why we have LB challenges, badges, and even hard-to-get armor and pets.

I don't mind re-releases but if it damages buying and selling... then its all part of an active market :/ (like when mythic eggs came out i hoarded and bought with plat...then eggzaver was released...see how that works lol). you gamble, sometimes it pays off...others times it doesn't.

Why is there an avalanche of people selling "collectible" items? really funny, things are the way they are don't try to disguise it.
On the other hand, I have hundreds of pieces of furniture, vanities and pets, I never make such a big deal of it when sts relaunches or recolors them. Sometimes you win and sometimes you lose as they say out there in the comments.
Also I collect them and I love my items and I enjoy using them, most of them I wouldn't sell and it doesn't bother me at all if I see that many have it.

as a collector, I keep what **I**earn and sell the rest...and have been playing for years. having a game closed to new players and old ones that lose an account is awful. people want to collect, but as old items are retired....gold values inflation is at an all-time high...so does it seem fair to gouge in price when the person collecting spends most of their funds on 1 item.

what kills a game is not becoming flexible. I value my time, I value my items...and I value this game to flourish like it has all these years. but being locked to "EXCLUSIVE PLAYERS" is why we have LB challenges, badges, and even hard-to-get armor and pets.

I don't mind re-releases but if it damages buying and selling... then its all part of an active market :/ (like when mythic eggs came out i hoarded and bought with plat...then eggzaver was released...see how that works lol). you gamble, sometimes it pays off...others times it doesn't.

everyone has there own interpretation of what a collector is. Mine just so happens to be an honest one that feels that everyone should have the ability to be one. To be fair, these new events have bound and unique vanitys...so after this event ends the rarity will be there. So really the magic will always be there....you just won't be able to make a profit lol.

Are you pulling my leg? pets and vanity commodities? what benefit does a vanity give the player running a map? last time i checked my vanity doesn’t heal, boost my stats, or attack mobs so maybe you’re playing a different game entirely. (Same can be said about a lvl1 collectable)

Real collectors don’t want their items they’ve worked hard for to become some generic vanity you find everyday at the bottom of the auction listings. You want to act like you’re some sort of collectable spokesman for the average person, if you want to give your items away and share it with everyone go right ahead i guess i missed your last giveaways, but don’t expect everyone else to do the same.

Remind me the last time these “merchers” sold a crier vest, or sold a flurry mask for warrior, or a purple demon set. You’re generalizing the entire community of collectors because of a handful of low tier merchers who found another market. If they are re-released they will be recolored/recoloured but even so I recall back on PL people with EMS complain how it got rereleased as an op L110 weapon but to me it still wasn't an EMS...I guess its somewhat a matter of opinion.

For example if I see a recoloured ice spirit set, to me it is just that. Like a fake knock-off version lol

i didn’t buy any of my items for those prices, and anyone collecting these days are paying hundreds of millions, if you don’t have the means to afford it then that’s your own problem. The difference between a collector and you is that even if we both started today i would still try to get everything i wanted and you would simply sit and cry about how hard it would be.

I for one collected trash 10 years ago because I couldn't afford anything good. Then among the collectors the trash started to have value to us and us alone. But then.........8 or 10 years past and people started noticing the rarity of the stuff we have and screaming for it until the "Forgotten Vanity event" was born.

True collectors don’t care about the price, we value the item for what it is, i paid 700m recently for epic heraldic rogue, and i intend to pay 650+ mil for brown heraldic warrior so i can finishing COLLECTING the heraldic because they are the only 2 i am missing, ya’ll crying thinkin we are merchants but i bet that 99% of yall commenting and crying on this thread are merchants and are complaining cuz collectors can afford these items and maybe yall can only afford a single vanity, its always been know that you cant become a collector and be poor, ya’ll so desperate for some items smh.

I appreciate you trying to be the voice of reason here but the facts are that this game and many others are the way society interacts with each other now. Along with facebook, instagram, tiktok, twitter & all the other social media outlets.

So as sad as it is to say, this is about as real as it gets for alot of people.
The pandemic really ingrained this even more into the way we live our lives.

It's a bit humorous to watch a few of these people so adamant about this when they are lucky to touch a map other than expedition or pier two or three times a year. Town fillers.


I'm wondering as to what benefit it is to have people "Playing the game" and keeping these people happy when in actuality 95% of their playtime is passing around high priced items while making a few mill off each other.

I understand where you are coming from but bringing back the item just in a new color does not miss the point, because it is 2022 now not 2012, a refreshed refurbished version that is unique while keeping the rarity there still to the original players . Therefore old 9-10 year veteran players still have their enjoyment of having some rare color and armor exclusive looks, and new players have the look but vanity version with a different color. It would keep the old pieces exclusive while giving the new players the looks that they want.

You though you had us figured out, didn’t you? No… intrepid is not tradable…. Meaning I could offer you 100billion and I still could not buy it. Steel heraldic is available that’s why I already have 1 for all 3 classes :).

If Cinco considers bring recolors of these items. I’m all for it.

Its like old vanities, red arlor, tree set and many other old exclusive sets Cinco. Many collectors spent years searching for, releasing a recolor keeps the collector community happy as well as the people wanting the exclusive look. The sentiment is not the same for collectors if they are re-released, it is not exclusive anymore.. because if everyone can just walk around at Expedition with it or pier there is no specialness to the set or armor anymore..

Correct. There is no chance that this will happen for 'Forgotten Vanity.'

I'm not saying that I'll never recolor anything again... or that I wouldn't recolor and add particles for something and dress it up as a new bit of equipment (or even a vanity) - but it doesn't fit the parameters of the event in question.

There’s something special that gets lost as soon as you start selling the items that many players worked hard on in the past, majority of the people on this thread probably have no clue how to craft glintstone without using arlor eggs let alone the grind it took to craft the set by running dailies. “Grinding” “Farming” “Earning” are concepts of the past because all you have to do now is wait for a forgotten event with a pocket full of platinum.

This event is selling the looks of players who actually played the game to noobs who “have a life” or are “too busy running companies” whatever their excuses are to not do anything but beg on the forums and it’s pretty disappointing. I thought recycling collectables was bad enough but it seems like they’ll recycle just about anything, what’s next? Some season 1-6 banners? Maybe some discontinued titles or level cap badges, those look cool don’t they? This event and these forum warriors are nothing but a joke (:
