L61 Orlock Sword vs Glyph Mace/Tamin Club

Being a higher level premium pink, the sword should be better. However stat wise, the sword seems a tad bit worse than the 60 weapons. is there some proc or skill damage bonus that makes the sword better?

Well for one. The orlok sword adds more skill damage. And as well it has the weakness proc I believe. You'll have to ask a mage what that affects. I believe its hit chance and dodge. Not sure. The high end damage on the mace definetly hurts but the reality is, your not gonna hit a 300+ on a buffed mage or bear. Mage, maybe.

Now I find that since 56 cap everything has been a step up except orlok. Ask Apollo, when I fought his 56 sm bear, he Hung right there with me, we finally called a stop to the fight.

It depends. Are you talking about the whole set, or the weapons themselves? If you're talking about the 61 Orlok Sword 'Set' then it's the set bonus that boosts it above the Glyph mace set. Also, doesn't the sword have better DPS anyway?

Im talking about the Orlock Sword itself, though it is likely I will get the full set soon. Sword has slightly better dps than the mace but compared to the club, its outclassed by 70-120 dps is I remember correctly.

If it helps, Im a pally but if Orlock isnt at least a bit good Ill most likely switch to the common 61 int mage. And since I already maxed the skill weakness, does it stack with the sword proc.

I do believe it does. However. Dps isn't important. Dps is simply how much your weapon will hit in a second. Being that's its a max hit critical against zero armor. Most people think that dps is so huge but would you rather a dagger to hit 40 or a mace to hit 200+ me id rather the 200.

99% sure it's a nightmare proc, not weakness.

I would switch to the orlok set. If you have glyph use the mace. The added set bonus does help. But I do know orlok has more skill damage which is important.

If your going to use the sword alone, use the mace. If your going to use the orlok set, of course orlok is better.

Orlok is better than every str item below it in level. Its even possible to nuke a demonic str bear if your proc+crushing hits. Your proc will lower their dodge and their def, combined with crushing blow, they're pretty much as good as dead

Unless mace stuns you and you can't get off CB.

I'm saying if all goes well haha. I realize there are many different things that can happen to keep you from nuking

Ya, sword proc is heavy. A lot of the time it can determine who wins the fight, that's why I dislike nightmare procs on str weapons so much. Weakness is fine, but nightmare can really end a match quick.

As a mage, orlok is > glyph without a question. You need skill damage way more than a stun proc.

Yes both of the dead and orlok sword have the proc.
