View Full Version : Me and Cycorp what can i say...

First of all I notice alot of stuff about Cycorp. I play there alot leveling new toons or helping a new player here and there.
And playing Cycorp for the first time was a serious challenge to me when i was new. I didnt know how to use my map, didnt know what the auction terminal was till i was lvl 25. lol
I spent alot of time looking for those last few enemies and i spent alot of time running around aimlessly not knowing what to do. I never talked, didnt have any friends, and didnt know there were guilds. Of course this was before all the new updates making things easier for new players...The elite Juicer used to be almost impossible to kill...Now. I can solo.
Now im getting off topic...Anyway. Cycorp....I have posted bugs before about the keys http://www.spacetimestudios.com/showthread.php?60410-Key-bug-in-Cycorp-Industries-Product-Development
And i figured that this would be fixed...But no....Its worse now cause everyone can get the keys with the removal of the "waiting period"
Im not saying the waiting period should comeback. Im suggesting that a few select things should have a waiting period.

Bring the waiting period back here...

This particular area of cycorp started teaching me teamwork. Which is essential to Star Legends. Without teamwork this game would be pretty sad...

This is what makes me mad...I was trying to level the way i was supposed to and some high level person (not the one in the pics) came in...grabbed the key and completed the rest of the level...robbing me of needed experience. And if i was just starting Star Legends as a new player, this would confuse the heck outta me...

I mean getting the key in first place before new update was bad enough...Now anyone anywhere can get it and ruin the experience for new players (or for themselves).
I would love to have a little feedback on this issue...Small things can, and do, ruin things for people and this shouldnt be ignored. I mean a cosmetic issue was fixed in cycorp...

Yeah I completely agree, we need the timers back otherwise the level dynamics are broken.

Remember, before the updates that it took a while to pick up keys, open bomb boxes,activate em and open your class doors... Those were timers... Now they happen instantly.
Therefore ruining level dynamics in team play which SL was praised upon.

It was that little bar that showed up when you click on something. Sometimes the bar filled up fast, sometimes slowly like when placing the bombs in cycorp.
Thus the need for other players to have to protect the bomb placer. If that makes sence.

Oh yes!! Thanks for refreshing my mind! (I ran outta thanks today)
They HAVE to bring these back! It's what changes the game so much..
Especially on the CyCorp one where you gotta destroy the vular eggs with the explosives. It normally took about 10 seconds to set it off, and now you walk in the little circle and BAM! Its already counting down from 5..
They gotta bring em back! I really dont understand ANY reason to remove them

Wow that's like shooting teamwork in the foot. It's not like they nerfed the difficulty by ten fold. (Fire grate in Cycorp under the bomb plant zone with a timer. Extreme teamwork was needed and it was possible.)
I just wish they bring back many things that I grew to love in the closed beta :/

I miss you Old Wacked Out Juicer! Your ridiculous amount of health and damage made lvl 5's cry as you wiped them out! :(

Trying to defeat that juicer taught me that I should use my skills more often lol. Now I see new players not using skills at all....just shooting like they have none....

Well just about all of the low levels need to be redone...I mean ive posted quite a few threads about bugs and suggestions, but received no answers from the devs. (or silent fix)

Simply cause it just says "damaged door" with no icon...All the doors should have the icon. just dont understand why it would be so hard to "copy/paste" the code to fix it...

Devs these lack of timers are just insane. Game dynamics are broken. Bombs are blowing up in your face and u can solo just about any level...which is OK I guess. But sl wasn't designed to not have key timers. I suggest a rework or redesign on certain levels. Bring back team work! I'm am surprised that I spent all this time gathering all these pics and links to bugs, and never got anything...
Like a "hey I'll look into this" or "I'll put this in my report" or "we are currently looking into these issues" I wrote quite a bit explaining these issues and offered suggestions and feedback.
Other players seem to agree...and it bothers me so much that this may go unseen. I mean how long are these levels gonna be broken? If I had just one last wish...it would be a dev response.
It would mean the world to us here on the forums...

I agree!

Timers made game harder and there was more to play.
Also, about those fixing and hacking etc. why cant those skills be leveled up so it will happen faster?
