I'm level 57 and been a STR/INT pally the entire time. So all the gear I have is for STR/INT. I've just recently come back to PL after a year+ break. I'm pretty sure I'm going to switch to a pure INT mage. I'm also considering a DEX/INT mage but pretty sure I'm going to go pure INT.

What would you guys suggest I do for gear? I only have about 75k. Is there any set I can get for that? Should I just get the best cheap purples I can and move on? Should I do the quest to get the level 50 INT mystery set as my pally before respecing to give me something to start with?

I'd appreciate any advice on gear for the switch. If you also have any gear suggestion for a DEX/INT mage I'd appreciate that as well.

Never mind. It looks like I can get level 55 sewer gear for around 75k-100k.

The Sewer Queen set (Staff) is actually pretty good for damage and provides decent armor and regen; if you had more gold, I would suggest a Mega Mage set (or one of the variants).

Another good equip, though much more expensive, is the Glyph wand set.

If you are price conscious, then you could use a Maestro's Baton, Sewer Queen Gemstone Robes, Sewer Queen Gemstone Cowl and whatever shield you could afford.

Thanks for the info. yeah Glyph is awesome but wow expensive.

I think I'll put together a wand and staff set to switch between.

I believe this is exactly what I'm going to do. I bought a Mega Mage Want because it was cheap. Without the full set it appears the L56 Maestro's Baton is better so I switched to that. I got a L55 Lowman's shield. Which seems decent given the price.

Once I hit 60 I may look into grinding out for an entire set of something to get me to 70.

I did go ahead and respec full INT. I appreciate the advice.
