On-topic: I would pick Archer. I love having range and I love the skills. Mages are (*cough* really easy to steal kills on *cough*) good with range, but something draws me to archers.

I play sl but this applies to all class specific mmorpg games i play. TANK. I am a charger and love aoe to blow up mobs and let others clean up while i go to the next mob. So for me in pl it would be the simple strength bear. I TANK IT.. how bout you? Hehe

I loved my dex bear after I made him coming from archer, and he was my main for a while. I ended up going back to my bird after a 6 month break and now I like him again, so definitely archer for the win. Also made my image and to be quite honest...too much responsibility for me. :)

Contrary to most who posted in this thread, I'm saying Mage.

Even though you get the constant and annoying "heal me" or "rev", I like mage. Played it for almost two years now, love it. I've got a Warrior and an Archer but Mage was my first ever PL character and it's one I've grown to know very well.

same here. my 1st toon is an archer. full dex.
then made a bear full dex > str/dex > full str.

Full strength mage. I like being invincible and being able to run ahead and tickle the mobs and never heal anybody or rev or debuff. I just whack them with my sword enough to mess up the bear's pull

Definitely half INT, half DEX enchantress! My reason is because mages are able to(my opinion) stay alive longer, with heal skill and potions one can heal easily! They are a fun class and I very much enjoy the role they play!

Well I'm a spellcaster/enchantress and am yet to try out the other classes. What has been said here is multiple fun builds so idk which class to start on next! Maybe dexterity knight/warrior or a Strength ranger/archer. Only time will tell :tyrannosaurus:

For pve, the one class that's always needed/wanted in a group, is a mage. It's also, IMO, the easiest class to lvl up with, and the most leisure one to solo (lower levels).

At higher levels (60+), a mage has it all.. Tanking ability, fastest killing of mobs, high dmg to bosses (although birds are still king in boss kills) and heal/revive.

That said, each class has their charms. Personally, I play mostly with bird or mage. I love playing bear too, but somehow my feeling is that a bear got a bit obsolete during the last couple of caps.

Sooo, if I really had to pick one, I'd go mage :)

Bird all the way. They're like ninjas. Bears are pretty good too, but aren't as fun to me. I tried playing a mage once and hated it, so I scrapped that alt.
