Hi,
I feel that gold drops from portal bosses need to increase....
It takes a decent amount of time, and they drop very little gold compared to Elite Sunken.
This is especially true in Elite Mecha because in his last stage, all the crabs are rushing towards him. You need to kill him fast which leaves less time to equip to gold loot set. It also drops much less gold.
