Mouse wheel zoom broken after update?

as per the title, I can no longer use the mouse wheel to adjust the zoom scale on chrome after the most recent update.
has there been some form of key/mouse remapping?

Try going to settings top right corner. If it persists close open pc and close open dl. You can also try opening it in safe window to erase changed you mistakingly made

On both a physical scroll wheel and an inertia tracking pad on my mouse

finally got it fixed. I messed around with the flags settings in chrome that deal with graphics acceleration and it was solved.
