I highly doubt they'll share their tricks or tips, or even builds, they'd rather keep their spot and remain the lesser competitions.

One thing's for sure, HB is either haste (for lower down time of shield or consistently disabling enemies) or damage reduction.
For skill set Clock is a must have with max mastery, idk about curse might help by reducing mobs hit chance and crit chance, it also helps you proc your stuff. and of course high int with Profit/Killing ring helps a ton or else you'd get burst(ed) in seconds. I've seen a lot of mages use Aquaris+Smugg+Ebon armor then switch to mythic set and is very op. Also I'd like to add that one Ult that grants you shield but idk I haven't played mage for half a year and didn't even bother testing that Ult so better do your own research :)
Pet, Mephisto is super great feels like it gives you 6 seconds invulnerability (below 90 waves I guess) or better yet use Meph AA then pay attention to duration of Meph if it's about to expire it's a great time to use arcane shield within 6 seconds you should've proc'd your Aqua and Ebon armor

and yep Elixirs helps 60% of your survivability and and overall damage.

I'm currently using Rogue but most of the time I've been a Mage for the longest time (myself) I haven't tried this event with a mage so feel free to judge me. I did 2 runs since day 1 from now on temple event, on 2nd try I managed to reach 660k with just 5 elixirs (15% armor 25% bonus damage, 25% dmg reduction, 30% bonus damage, and Tame terracuda oil) with just that, sadly I never tried again I know to myself I will buy another mouse if I kept trying I broke 4 mouse within 2 months and this one is about to break lol I rage often.
