This fun (and free) new event runs for one (1) week (with a 3-day cooldown) starting September 15th
Quest to unlock access to the event zone by finding and defeating Commander Kruug

Note: your best chance to spawn Commander Kruug will be in content at or above your level.
Once acquired, access to the event zone lasts for the duration of the event.

Venture to a hidden pirate isle and liberate stolen Pets from locked cages!
Collect gold, Pet Eggs and special Crafting Components along the way.
Recover "Pirate Pilfa's" scrolls of necromancy to craft special rare pets!

EVENT ZONE ACCESS
Complete the "Breaking the Veil" Quest from Decex to access to the Pet Rescue Event Zone!
This Quest requires that you collect pieces of a magical map from Pilfa's henchman Commander Kruug.
Commander Kruug can spawn anywhere in Arlor however... the best chance to find him
will be by fighting monsters that are at (or above) your character level!
Return to Decex with all the pieces and he will assemble them into a completed map.
Once you take possession of this map you will be able to enter the Event Portal.
Access to the Event Portal does not expire.

CRAFTING
"Pilfa the Pirate" is a necromancer and has various magic scrolls that can be used to craft certain pets.

SCROLLS
You'll need to acquire one of Pilfa's "Summoning Scrolls" to craft a Pet Egg during this event.

These scrolls are consumed when you craft a Pet Egg.

Pet Crafting requires converting existing Pet Eggs into a 'Companion Essence' that can be used to craft.
Note: Companion Essence and Pet Eggs can only be crafted during the Pet Rescue Event!

This scroll is not consumed on craft but will go away when the Pet Rescue Event cooldown ends.

So it is basically a eggzavier event I believe with more features. Looks nice. Looking forward to it.

I would definitely like to loot some expensive pet not cheap heroic speckles.

Crafting list is all cheaper eggs except maybe heroic garlic. So not much interested in crafting. Maybe some more op pets as crafting but some people might not like it.

Anyways I would like to request for OP gold pet Arcanite Redd and one of the op passive Arcanite Sapphire. BTW i do have arcanite sapphire as base pet and I made some profit selling Arcanite Redd so it really does not matter much to me but I hope it helps in general.

However, those pets are expensive because not too many in the game right now.

But it may suffer the same fate as some of the previous expensive op pets which became dirt cheap. I wont benefit much from this event as I am sitting with 4-500 of heroic pets.

I want to thank you STS team to bring some fresh event and ideas. Labyrinth sounds cool.

Also, I am actually waiting for Jarl event and house party event.

Two years too late, look at the craft cost, pets are readily available, few hours run in elite sunken and you can buy any of these pets now. of course some people have all the pets in the event loot table so they will have an advantage but i dont think thats a big deal.

the pets we take to the stable were taken by necromancer cuz they have special powers.. like nekro, should be added to this list of pets that are looted as pets and not eggs. necromancer stole eggs too ya.. haha but powerful pet like nekro was taken as full grown pet, u seen?

Yes add all the ones that are useful for zodias maps as mentioned above. Some people will complain about their pet getting cheaper but thats basically the concept of introducing pets. New ones are expencive and become progressively cheaper over time while new better pets are being introduced.

The only interesting part for me is the crafting part as in theory it is a good concept to reduce the number of eggs in game but I'd rather convert more eggs into essences than having to pay, as I said, an outrageous amount of gold for a scroll. We'll see how it plays out.

I too own a semi rare pet of Melathrax (gold snake) and I still think it's a good event overall.

Honestly only egg hoarders will hate this event, but even so, the eggs can be used to craft essence sooo...

You will need to click on the Egg crafting component and then select a Pet Egg to use in the recipe.

The pop-up have an exit button in the corner so it s not a bug. You press X and Craft.

I'll write down my early impression about the event. Overall I like the concept, it feels rewarding and fun. And I am pretty sure based on what I've seen in chats, many people feel the same. So thank you for that. I have a concern though. Due to crafting time (I understand the reasoning and I agree with it) most of us won t be able to craft energy for the next event due to crafting slots being filled with ongoing tasks. So I'd like to ask you if the next event will be energy based and if the answer is afirmative, could you please cosider this situation and adjust it so we won't miss the opportunity to play it? Thanks!

Thank you for fixing open cage can give loot to all people.
But please increase heroic rate please, i farmed for 2hours but none got any heroic and 1 arcane only.
We re-rolled only get Mythic

And i was running with 2 luck elixirs, lucky pet + Arcanite Arie HB + Timur Aa (i type /stats and it shows 124%luck), didn't get any heroic egg

The pets vendor should appear randomly.. Quite troublesome to get the vendors to appear by clicking on the cage and waiting 3-4 seconds till they eppear..

Incorrect, you lose the craft fee and materials are returned.

This event is great, thank you STS. remember to buy plat to support dev team guys, also, use your plat to speedup crafting time in the last couple of day and craft more some of the rarest eggs in the game. Cheers to everyone.

So i wonder if eggs still be available for crafting in the last 3 days of materials? or they are not availabe after 2 more days?

And it's a pretty bad idea to extend the already existing cool down to 7days because then it'll just be an endless cycle of "can we get another X days because I'm almost done with these eggs?"

Next round combine Pilfa and Eggzavior. Use Pilfas’ map, Eggzavior should only spawn there. His elixir portal spawning as usual.
Eggs’ regular loot table common to mythic/ portal mythic, heroic and arcane.
As for the cages, remove the eggs and add pet holder, recipes and gold.( the potions were awesome, more of thise)No eggs in cages!
Pilfa can drop a rare selection of newer arcs n heros. Maybe an event crate crafted from eggs. Vanity crafted from eggs, elixirs crafted from eggs, ect.
Remove eggs that can be looted in maps/from quests. Keep them farm worthy.
Overall I enjoyed this event, just too many eggs dropped.
