Sandstone Elite Crafting

Crystalline, Earthquake, Onyx could be crafted into Elites using "Elite Shards".
These shards drop from sandstone caves bosses.

Wearing an Elite Set awards you an untradeable Sandstone Ring, Sandstone Amulet, and Golem Pet.

These items will complete your set, and give a bonus particle effect.
The particle effect will look like the L55 Customized gemstone set particle effect. (Recolored)

Examples down below :

- Elite Crystalline: light red particles

- Elite Earthquake: light green particles

- Elite Onyx: light grey particles

The three elite sets above can be crafted for free, but they are untradeable.

Crafting for platinum

The sets below cost platinum to craft:

- Gold Crystalline
. Golden particles (set bonus: chance to pierce armor)

- Ancient Earthquake
. Lime green particles, dusty cloud particle effect (set bonus: chance to stun enemies)

- Shadow Onyx
. black particles (set bonus: chance to slow enemies & proc nightmare)

To drop the crafting materials for these sets, there will be an elixir that costs 15 platinum.
Or you can buy each recipe for 100 platinum each.

Golem crafting for plat

For 300 platinum you can craft your golem pet into:

- Golden golem pet
. (+75% gold, 1k damage)

- Ancient golem pet
. (+25% luck, 3x speed, 1k damage and armor)

- Shadow golem pet
. (+50% luck, 4x speed, 500 damage and armor)

The Rare Sets

The sets below are incredibly rare. Each shard has a 0.1% drop chance (1 in 1000), and requires the 15 platinum elixir to drop.

Also each shard drops in a different area.

- Diamond Crystalline Drops in "Underground Desert"
. Cyan particles (set bonus: chance to pierce armor!)

- Mudstone Drops in "Trembling Below The Earth"
. Dark brown particles, mud puddle under feet (set bonus: chance to stun enemies!)

- Celestial Onyx Drops in "The Black Rock"
. Dark Blue particles (set bonus: chance to slow enemies & proc nightmare!)

The design for Diamond Crystalline is Crystalline recolored to a bright cyan color.
The design for Mudstone is Earthquake recolored to a dark shade of brown.
The design for Celestial Onyx is Onyx recolored to a midnight blue. Midnight blue is a dark blue that's almost black.

- Prospectors set: wear a cowboy hat with fiery leather and a pickaxe to get 25% luck 25% gold.

. Set bonus particle effect is amber sparkles.

Event sets:

During the St. Patricks Day event, Emerald Shards will drop, and during Christmas Ruby Shards will drop.
Use these shards to craft Emerald Crystalline, and Ruby Crystalline.

- Emerald Crystalline
. Shamrock particle effect (set bonus: slightly higher chance to pierce armor, 10% luck)

- Ruby Crystalline
. White snowflake particle effect (set bonus: chance to freeze proc + more crit)

The drop rate will be a significantly better than diamond shards. (0.25% drop chance, 1 in 400).

There's 108 combined items ranging from level 21-25 for Crystalline, Earthquake, and Onyx.
It would cost 10,800 platinum just to buy all of the recipes. All of the designs are mostly recoloring, so it's good for the devs, and the players

Back to stats, the normal and recolored sets will have a set bonus primarily focused on defense, this is for longer and more tactical pvp battles.
Ex. set bonus: 100 armor, 300 health, 5 dodge

Extra information:

- All bows have a chance to blind enemies
- The elite sets are required to craft the recolored premium sets
- Axes/staves and daggers do a lot more damage
- The Gold crystalline accent color will not be red like the original crystalline set, it will be a dark brown to make the gold color pop.
- The sandstone amulet and ring have low stats, ex. 5 armor 5 damage 2 crit 1 hit

Here is the chronological order of each update, in terms of when each of these should be released.

1. Sandstone Elites crafting update
2. Dark forest sets & crafting update (goes hand in hand with sandstone update)
3. L30-32 Elite blizzard crafting update
4. Balanced pets for every campaign (Doesn't sell platinum, but important for the long term success of PL)

It's recommended to release these updates during or after events, when the playerbase is most active.

I like a lot of the idea to bring content on the old PvE maps and things.

Yep, I don't know about everyone else, but I loved farming there in sandstone when I first started playing. You have a high chance of getting neat sets, and I would love to get lost crafting in the sandstone caves.

Just added some cool golem pets

It's an interesting idea for sure, however I'd remove stat bonuses from all vanitys tbh, PL was much better without all the added stats vanitys give, it just lead to there always being a better vanity set to obtain & no freedom in wearing what you like, as it isn't the meta.

These aren't vanities, they're just elite items, unless your talking about the golem pets.

Yes, the pets, as they're a vanity item.

The only reason I didn't do that was mainly because the playerbase is too small. STS can't afford to do a huge update without huge platinum spending incentives, there just aren't enough players. What your saying would definitely work if they released this during or after Christmas, when the playerbase is at its highest.

Yes, the pets, as they're a vanity item.

Ok I just nerfed their stats, so it's a bit more balanced

Sounds like you’re on to a great idea.
