so hats are just for show right?
how about being able to add stats to them to make them more practical while going through a campaign so you would get the stats you want and still be able to wear your cool hat.
maybe you can synchronise your helm stats to your hat.
for example.
conqueror's mynas helmet
lv45, 138 str
7str, 3% dodge, 2%crit, 10 armor
while highlighting your hat 'Classic Viking Helm' there could be a sync button somewhere which allows you to take the exact stats and attributes of you helm and put then on your hat.
and maybe the helm you synchronised can disappear and reappear when you have the hat equipped/ unequipped.
anyway i havent thought much about this just a random idea.
