View Full Version : PVE Advise needed
Hello everyone, i need some help PVEing because i am not sure if i am doing it right, i am a lvl 52 Nuke mage and i do a lot of dmg too when we hit all the mobs but i get agro like a $:&&,&;@@/)%#ER, my skills are based on the guide that is on this board, pocketchamp i believe?
Question. Is a PVE Nuke mage supposed to help out with DPS or just heals and buffs and maybe hit them while my buffs are on a cool down?
Question 2. Don't my chances of looting an item drop if i don't do enough DPS to all the mobs?
Tips are appreciated.

Let me answer this as best as I can.
Normally, the higher your level is, DPS isn't that important compared to other stats you should focus on. You should always heal and buff, that's a mages job. Typically a mage 'nukes' when each spell is ready to cast, including your buffs (preferably blessing of might for damage). When you're buffs aren't ready, just keep attacking the enemies from a distance. The aggro thing, just make sure you're with two or three other players. Finding a bear is really nice since they can control mobs (a.k.a. beckon, stomp). Unless you have the right build at level 52, don't go ahead of the group.
To answer your second question, your chances of looting an item will always remain the same whether you deal no damage or as much damage as possible to a mob. You chances of looting an item will remain the same if there are 2, 3, 4, or 5 players in a group as well. All in all, your chances of looting an item shall always remain the same with any factor (unless you have a luck elixer).

if you do nothing you still get pinks one time this 66 bear and I had to solo aunt emma cuz the others were 58 noobs and they couldnt take a shot so after we fought her for like 20 minutes one of the noobs got a pink
not a good one but its a pink
I tried that from lvl 52-54 then i saw this guy doing exp runs and it took about 3-5 mins to clear 90% of the instance and i liked it lol, i am lvl 62 atm and hopefully i get to do this again once i get off from work.
Do x2 exp elixir stacks with trasher punch? Cuz i lvled 10 times in 2 hours, is that an average speed to level for EXP Runs
