Spirit Sword Damage Bug?

I tried using my spirit sword today against Hydra and Fly Lord and it does no damage at all. I’m not sure if this is a bug or something? My spirit sword is not strong (lvl 12), but it doesn’t make sense that it does nothing to the health bar. Is anyone else experiencing this or is it just me?

I understand they nerfed it, but even if it did bad damage, the health bar should move somewhat, especially for bosses who aren’t that tough. Unless they nerfed it to a point where you can’t even notice a change on the health bar. In that case, they shouldn’t have buffed it in the first place if they were going to make it weaker than it was originally. But that’s assuming that this is the actual nerf and not some kind of bug.
