Maybe im not familiar if this is an actual thing, but i just got some insight from two players from which i will not identify. That because im selling an item cheaper then they do…its suddenly an issue. What do i do in this situation? Because truthfully, AL is a game that has a public market for a reason. You set the price and if other players choose to buy it for that much, thats okay. Maybe im wrong, who knows…

They just don't want their item to go down in value because you're selling it cheaper than them

Funny how you mention this, it always baffling.
Us forum members trying to up one another.
Can we all agree do disagree on prices? Like
killing me, literally with these “manipulations”.

Can’t we just set our own prices anymore?
I for one think setting my own price is fair,
no one is going to tell me what I can and
can’t do with my own items it isn’t fair!!!!!!!!
Overall these people still try to ruin it again and again. Ridiculous.

The comment of every manipulator ever:
I am not saying you manipulate but the logic of manipulators is the same "It's my item my price".
If you want to sell something cheaper I don't think it's a problem since those items sell fast, you don't even need to come on the forums for that, you can just go to a city and write "Sell this item merch price"
Also you can just verify the sale with a screenshot if you want to prove accusations wrong.

Thank you.For this golden post.

It always starts with this is my price, and then imprinting that price on new items to come .. Ie talking about how his auto is that, he sold to him for that... So suddenly that becomes the price...

Until someone decides to drop the price so low becaue realistically they paid the real downright low price for than the inflated /aka manipulated price.

If you want to sell yours well above the others then better say. Hi I want to sell my deary egg for 50m gold even though there is currently 100 deary eggs by 100 different sellers for 300gold -5000 gold in the auction right now.

Because y'all tend to be hurt and turn hostile when someone says the truth about how much it was sold last from your own set price.

.... To the guy who got the word manipulation in this game....

People tend to be very greedy nowadays and I can think of few scenarios how people are getting tricked to overpay.

Scenario 1: Possible seller "Bob" of "abc vanity" talks about other dealings in game VS target "Alice"

Alice: i wish i can buy a vanity as yours and i seen people selling for 300m in town
Bob: no, u know Y? he bought last week, he paid 900m.
Alice: But he owns that vanity for some time, how come he bought last week?

Scenario 2: Possible seller "Bob" & "George" selling the same vanity item vs target "Alice"

Phase 1: Bob and George talks "business"

Bob: yo, tell people you sell "abc vanity: for 900m
George: Ah, that's your vanity, right?
Bob: yea boi, make sure you say 900m

Phase 2: George getts approached by Alice

Alice: How much your co for "abc vanity"
George: no co, i sell for 900m.
Alice: But i seen people last week selling for 300.
George: 900m bye.

Phase 3: Alice approaches Bob

Bob yells in towns " Sell abc vanity"

Alice: how much you want?
Bob: cheap 450m. merch price
Alice goes with this trade since the other guy wants twice as much than Bob.

Scenario 3 Forum hustle

Bob: bought one 1b.
forum account no3: this is 300m. why so much?

2 weeks later

Bob yells in towns *Selling abc vanity 1.3b"

You can actually read the ToS and see whats allowed and what isnt. Did that, followed that, ignored people, never had any problems.

And the big question is who determines the value of an item , value of an item is decided by both buyers and sellers considering various factors, if someone tries to manipulate u in such a way , either wait a long time to buy the item for a cheaper price from someone else or just get it for a higher price in an instant. It's just how the forces of demand and supply work.

It's just how the forces of demand and supply work.the buyer is never in control of the price that the seller sets. NEVER not in games at least

only in real life the buyer is in control of the price they can spend on someone's time. that is due to other variables that come into play " hidden factors"

Example

the price you pay for someones time varies depending on their skill. but what happens when a buyer meets 2 professionals that are equally skilled? when you're dealing with skilled professionals they'll set the price of their time.

professional A ~ my time is worth $200 a hour

professional B ~ my time is worth $200 a hour

buyer aka employer~ HAHA lol! $200? ill pay $100 a hour

professional A leaves the room his time is more valuable then $100 a hour.

professional B stays in the room because he needs the money. recently had a kid and is struggling to make ends meet.

professional B ~ i can work for $150 a hour

buyer aka employer ~ no im going to pay you $100.50 a hour take it or leave it?.

professional B is as equally skilled as professional A but has to settle for $100.50 a hour.

the buyer in reality is actually extremely powerful.

buyers should never have this much power. because they have nothing to lose and all to gain when buying time.
