What happens if a reserve my fnord name?

Hey guys, I recently leveled to 71 so I was leveling an alt of mine. His name is Butcher-fnord and I was wondering what would happen if I reserved the name? Probably impossible for me to use due to the dash. Thanks!

When your reserve the name you just type it in, when you try a dash is says invalid

Unless he owns the name Butcher, he will not be able to reserve Butcher.

Basswhole, you could probably request "Butcher-fnord" from the devs if you can't seem to reserve it.

Since a long time ago. Very few still have the -fnord in their name. Your best answer is to email STS and see what they say.

There used to be 2 servers. Alterra and fnord. When they shut fnord down all fnordians got -fnord after their name

The Alterra server was not called fnord it was a second server you could choose from but was shut down because very few players used it.

I have butcher-fnord and berserker-fnord :) berserker is like level 2 tho lol. I guess I'll have a request on Monday to see what they say. I want Mage character so I probs won't reserve anyway u less I get the fnord in the name

I'm almost positive they won't allow you to reserve it for AL. They don't seem to want to touch -fnord characters at all, as they are against reviving and renaming to them (I was turned down when I asked for them to revive mine, and the reason being was specifically because they aren't reviving fnord alts). Not to mention it doesn't really belong in AL, as Fnord is a PL thing.

Not at the time, no. Shouldn't effect it anyways, entirely separate things. May ask them again since he seems to have.
