Hi,
I was wondering if is that possible to add some kind of an untradeable vanity to the top seasonal players.
Saying that because that today getting a badge is very easy, I ran seasonals before for the badge when I considered more rare.

However, I remember that in order to get top seasonal player I had to spend ALOT of time & ALOT of gold for it.
When now you can get a badge from auction for less than just 6M gold.
Why not adding an exclusive seasonal vanity that would motivate more people to run?
I mean like just to get top 10 now, would require either hundreds of millions of gold & time doing all the APS.

I would suggest adding a sort of a vanity based on an old vanity, with a different color and the number of the season on it (and untradeable but yes stashable).

For example:
Next season make a forerunner / crier / any of the old equipment with a different color, and for the next season which is 28, get the number on the back or something.

I think that would motivate people to run, I am personally would be also more interested to run for some vanity that I would use on my characters rather than a badge that I would probably won't

EDIT:
Some people suggested adding a title, that's also a good idea

they should add titles I think that would be good/fine if devs don't have enough time to be adding or recoloring vanities, and improving the plain titles that already existed for other leaderboards

It would make the competition just between people that are willing to pull hundreds of millions of gold just to get that vanity which makes it sound like another event for top 5/10/25 or whatever else. Titles? Maybe.
Badges are unique every season (color wise), throwing vanity is just unnecessary.

It's not about the badges, it's about the type of badge that matters.

Just like vanities, the common and easily available ones don't worth much while the rare ones are ultra expensive.

Seasonal badge is much harder to get therefore has more prestige.

So is that why there are less and less people running seasonal?

So is that why there are less and less people running seasonal? Not everyone wants to collect seasonal badges as they can't be sold or traded. And the only difference is color.

Most people want to get seasonal badges for APs, or to have 1 cool badge for themselves.

The ones running for APs stop once they have enough to get the APs, and the one time runner don't run again. Naturally, the amount of people running seasonals would decrease over time.

However, I don't see any significant decrease in the amount of players running seasonal.

The badges are essentially the same but with different color, and some colors are very close to each other.

This doesn't have anything to do with other badges that are easily available. Again, the prestige of seasonal badges is much higher than event badges.

I personally don't use event badges, the only badge I used was the top player badge or the top mage badge. As again, they had more prestige.

Again, to me, it's like wearing a cheap vanity vs wearing an expensive vanity.
