not sure if im first to notice but are the old weapons obsolete now?

Did some comparing and also didn't take into effect set bonus but new weapons are putting the old ones to shame. For instance the lvl 56 purp forgotten bow it much more powerful then the lvl 56 glyph obed bow and the lvl 10 purp dominates the launcher and doom bow. Am I alone in seeing this or am I on drugs (hypothetically) drugs are bad :)
