How to Join:

TOURNEY HAS STARTED. START PLAYING YOUR MATCHES AND MESSAGE YOUR OPPONENTS. VIEW THE BRACKET HERE:

When to play:

--Tournament will begin when 32 mages have officially registered. You will have several days to find your match with the opponent the bracket generator randomly matches you up against.
Matches need to be completed and a screen capture posted on the forums within 7 days of the previous; You need 2 winning screen shots per match to advance, they must be uploaded here.


Scorekeeping:

--We'll keep track of the tournament via the Competition tracker.
--First Elf to successfully win 2 out of 3 rounds vs. the opponent wins. To win a match you must defeat your opponent 10 times, the player that wins three times in a 'GO' style match advances to the next round.


RULES:

1) Keep it clean.
2) Beginning the match before both sides are accounted for and agree to go will void the match.
3) Games must be passworded and agreed to be official by both parties.
4) There will be no rushing, both players must wait for the other to be ready and YOU MUST SAY GO BEFORE EACH FIGHT.
5) The match must go to ten regardless of the opponents score, quitting an official match once started will result in a forfeit, thus a loss for that match.
6) All matches must be played on the same map which is Forest Fight.
7) Mages only and YOU MAY ONLY USE INT GEAR.
8) Tree hugging, running, kiting, spawning (after the initial GO) IS permitted.

i can't tell you how much this pisses me off. Not only were the rules not stated correctly the first time, but then it was corrected and still not correct.... I didn't read anything in the rules that states we must read every page of the thread to get a clear understanding. So I began my tourney with the thinking " wins three times".... Had I know it was CHANGED to 2 out of 3, I would have played differently. But hey being completely unclear in the tourney rules seems to be the normal right? So its all good? Think I've been burnt one too many tourneys. Good luck to all in the future as this will be my last until I can be sure this crap doesn't happen again.

Um Eden, let's keep it clean. It's a tourney after all, just have fun. You wouldn't have played 'different' regardless if it was the first to win 3 or best of 3. That simply doesn't make sense, you always want to win.

I know it was my misunderstanding, I was originally told to copy and paste the bird tourney description. After that, I only changed 'bird' to mage but realized the rules were incorrect later.

Even though this happened, it's your job to keep viewing the thread an se if anything has been updated. it's not my job to let each and everyone of yo constantly know if something has een changed.

Yes ghost I would have played differently.... After the second match, I was going to respec... But thinking it was first to win 3, I choose to play one more before respecing... So yes.... Things would have been different... Would I have won? Idk.. But ya.... This why devs have pulled out of player run tourneys. I'll leave it at that. And I am keeping it clean. Heaven forbid i want everyone to have a fair shot regardless of my loss. I just know that there are some who check forums even less than me. Just show how irresponsible this is.... You STILL have chosen not to correct the rules. It doesn't make any sense to me.

Yes ghost I would have played differently.... After the second match, I was going to respec... But thinking it was first to win 3, I choose to play one more before respecing... So yes.... Things would have been different... Would I have won? Idk.. But ya.... This why devs have pulled out of player run tourneys. I'll leave it at that. And I am keeping it clean. Heaven forbid i want everyone to have a fair shot regardless of my loss. I just know that there are some who check forums even less than me. Just show how irresponsible this is.... IMO, shiloo was always pretty good. He/she just kind of melted in the shadows of others. When your not afraid to play without stacking your team then it puts a lot of pressure to perform and get really good. I've seen shiloo stick out games and it obviously has done him good.(sorry if your a chic lol). When you stack teams, you get the illusion that all are great when they could really be just fair at best... Doesn't pressure you to become better either. Gratz to shiloo. Glad your finally getting recog. I'm excited to see who wins.

My guess is BC you're the second person that's been dealt to him and it's not fair that he gets dq since two of his opponents didn't or can't show, show for whatever reason. Imagine you were first, and your opponent didn't show after Weeks then another person opted in and still no match. It's the newcomers responsibility to get the match done, considered a ready to go, available challenger.

Fruit, the tourney has been up for two and a half weeks. I specifically said you had one week for each match... It's your job to PM your opponent on the forums.

The typical excuse is, "I'm always on then he logs." I saw ipro playing his second match though?

Yeah trust me, I completely agree. It's just that when players are already in the second, quarter, or semi final match, I hate DQ someone. 1.) It defeats the purpose of having fun in a tournament. Some players are too competitive and get too caught up with winning. 2.) It's pointless if you make it really far and find yourself DQ... as if you went so far for nothing. I get that players don't follow the rules sometimes, but it always seems to happen. I wish there was a better mail/messaging system in game.
