Lately I'm getting bored of photoshop (don't worry, I'll still make signatures :p) and I want to make a video.

Since I will have a bit of time for the next week or two. It's something I wanted to make for a few friends, though I had no idea how to make on-screen videos. Genk told me about camtasia so I'm gonna use that. I wanted to know if there were any volunteers out there with screen recording software (hypercam?) that could post any videos of themselves doing missions and whatnot, I don't expect many to post but a few will be totally appreciated. I'm a pretty fast learner so I hope you guys like the final product. :)

I'll release the video here once I make it.

By the way the soundtrack will be "300 Violins" by Jorge Quintero... I suggest you turn your volumes to a respectable level just in case :D.

If you have better suggestions let me know please :)

I recorded an Fps testing video with FRAPS and am pretty pleased with it(Fraps records uncompressed video which means you need alot of hard disk space but the quality is epic!.)

I'll be posting my test video here later EDIT:(delayed to Friday for editing purposes) :)

You can't record your phone's screen without it being rooted as most screen recording apps need access to "lower level graphics" which is essential for screen recording(access is disabled on most non-rooted phones but i've used phones with "Loopholes" that allow you to use Shootme without rooting it).
Rooting isn't really hard(unless you think it is or am too lazy to read up on the basics of rooting).

Woot! that's good, I was looking for raw footage so I can make every bit of the action matct he track. Shao told me about screencast-o-matic.com but I can't suggest it to everyone since its only helpful if you use chrome

Yeah www.screencast-o-matic.com is pretty good if your recording from Chrome. The only thing is you can only record for 15 minutes. But it's free and when you finish recording you can either save it to your computer or upload it straight to YouTube.

@.@ To lazy to edit my video so I'm just gonna post the original here for everyone.

I rooted my phone before but it had a system update one day and was un-rooted. So eventually I tried to root it again and when it finished it said root complete. I followed every instruction down to the letter. But when I downloaded a screenshooting app, told me my phone was rooted. I triple checked everything, it was never rooted. I was like wtf and just left the website.

That being said, anyone know any GOOD rooting websites for my Motorola DROID X from Verizon?

Click on the link in result that looks something like this:

http://forum.xda-developers.com/

(Xda must be included in the link, rootzwiki is also a great alternative if XDA stuff is too hard to understand :) )

Gah, I found a place but it didn't work. It said something about me possibly having the version where the exploit was fixed... >:(

take your time. By the way camstudio is a downloadable prog. I'd prefer that one to the others

Was lazy today. I did check out Camstudio and ran a test video. Way better then Screencast. I'll have another video up and running by tomorrow night.
