Resolution for Winter Event Week 3 Issues

So... Winter Week 3 ended early!

This was not intended and we'd like to make things right.

First, with respect to...

Tier Rewards:

We will be granting the Winter Week 3 Platinum Tier reward package to players that (by all indications) would have reached the Tier had the event continued for the full duration. To determine the threshold we spent the morning examining your scores and the rate at which you gained event points during this third week.

If you were close to Platinum Tier check your character! It is likely that you were granted these event rewards (approximately 65 characters are affected by this adjustment).

Leaderboard:

We took a very close look at point accumulation rates to determine the best course of action here. For Warrior and Rogue LB's the rates did not justify any adjustments given the gaps between ranks. Sorcerer LB on the other hand warranted one (1) adjustment.

The team and I are very sorry for any inconvenience and disappointment that you may have experienced as a result. Multi-week events like this are fresh and exciting, but they're also significantly more complex than standard one-week events. This premature conclusion of Winter Week 3 was due to a game data issue. We will be adding safeguards to ensure this sort of thing doesn't ever happen again.

how about player that almost gold tier??are they gonna miss the 2 unlocked chest that could loot some kraken due to this??or just lb n plat tier is matter?

Only the platinum tier is being taken into account. and the other tiers?

You cannot draw that type of conclusions with how one accumulated points previously. some thought to raise tier and could have raised din problems because they were saving energy.now we have many energys without being able to use them. Although I did not do LB, I do not think it was correct as it affected them. since the rate of obtaining points is not something constant.some earn more points at the end of the event as a precautionary measure.

We most certainly considered reviewing every Week 3 tier - but we focused on the biggest issues.

Hey cinco I was less than 3k points away from hitting top 25 (was top 26) and was running as event was closing. Would I be able to get the top 25 reward?

Since we are now being charged to craft energy, how about just charge the 1k gold craft fee at the gate? Eliminate the crafted kits entirely. For future events of course. Then when these glitches happen, one less thing to correct. No more lost energy when booted for hotfix/updates either.

What about the token? I personally should able to buy polar bear in the time I reach plat tier. And so its useless after bugged.. we cant buy chest recipe, cant get any token from brood and the thing left is trash

@Cinco consider farming energies as participating in the event. I lost gold and time farming to get the platinum tier on the last day. But my character was not considered progressed in the event.

just wondering isn't it easier if STS extend the event just by 1 day to make up for the Winter event ending earlier than it should? Instead of them needing to look through the statistic as mentioned in their solution thread.

Is it something complicated or hard to do (extend event, delay new event by 1 day)? Asking cos i'm genuinely curios lol. It will save them allt he trouble and also appease most players.

Because leaderboard rewards were already distributed & some people even traded them maybe , so it's very hard to reverse now and continue the event as far as ik.

Imagine Im a developer here my Balance Opinion about Leaderboard

1First->> is I remove energy kits for fair fight and no one gonna save it like x999 for Next LB event but-but if the LB is 3weeks its ok to save x999

2nd->> is can enter the portal for free & depen on you if u want to grind like crazy for LB

3rd->> So all Players can fight or grind all you can with fair

4rth->> for me remember for me only muvh better if 2weeks LB came back but now cuz this is year 2023 so many change,i can set up LB at 1weeks but If this is the policy then 1 week is really ok....

Crafting leftovers into tokens is a new thing I don’t use and wouldn’t miss if my idea was implemented. (Do the math on the token exchange.. it’s a rip off)

Hi, I'm sorry I'm late for giving news, I didn't know the winter week 3 event was finished too soon and it wasn't on schedule, so my points stopped and I couldn't continue,I want to be like the ign spectral player, he doesn't reach the top 5 but gets a top 5 reward, it's unfair if like that I want my gold and time to be returned.
