Friend requests not going through

Hello team, not sure if this is a issue that has been brought up but there are issues with sending and receiving friend request withing iPhone 4G. Also withing iPhone 4g to iPhone 3GS.
Found this issue when trying to befriend my 2 friends that were standing right next to me. One has a 4G and the other a 3GS. I myself have a 4G. Please let me know if this is a actual problem or if the problem with my phone. Thank you in advance.

Were you in the same zone? Are you sure neither of you is ignoring the other? If not in the same zone, the request doesn't go through immediately at the moment.
