Note on Energy Drops: fight monsters at or above your character level to get the best Energy Essence drop rate. Fighting creatures below your level means a lower drop chance for Essence.

Once you're inside the event zone, you can purchase the event Bane Item, the Enthralled Talisman. This item will prevent Hugthulu's tainted love barrels from damaging and slowing you.

Make your way through the map defeating enemies and the Merfkin mini-boss to collect L, O, V, and E candy letters. These can be crafted into event tokens, or a Love Letter to summon the second boss, Hugthulu Prime (more on him in a second).

Then, get ready for a fight! Hugthulu awaits.

This two-week event will begin on Thursday, February 2nd and run through Thursday, February 16th, with a 3 day cooldown.

Event Scoring and Tier Rewards

Killing Hugthulu gives you Tier Points. Climb through Bronze, Silver, Gold, and Plat Tiers for awesome rewards! At Gold Tier and above, use a Love Letter (crafted from Parchment Paper and L-O-V-E candy letters) to summon Hugthulu Prime at his altar! Killing Hughtulu Prime gives you significantly more Tier points.

Note: Hugthulu Prime is a Level 81 Boss only. While his level will scale, his stats will be equivalent to Lvl 81 no matter what level you are.

On damage the Kraken Battle Pendant has a chance to grant the Defender of the Depths damage reflection shield for ten (10) seconds (36 sec. cooldown). This shield has a 100% chance to reflect up to 500% of incoming damage. While the shield is active your Dodge Chance is lowered.


Shredder Spawn proc: if an enemy is defeated while the Defender of the Depths shield is active a school of friendly Shredder Fish is spawned to fight by your side. Shredder Fish return to the Zodian Ether after twenty (20) seconds.

Endless Love armor sets can be upgraded into Tainted Love armor sets using Hugthulu's Purple Rose which drops from Hugthulu Prime

Endless Love and Tainted Love Armor and Helmets have the same stats and only differ in the sets they accompany

Also, this is just my opinion but I find the Chaos Aura more of a LB aura than the Black Terror Aura. I'm fine seeing the Red Terror Aura as a LB reward for Week 2 but Black Terror Aura looks more of a 1750 plat aura compared to Chaos Aura

You could rerelease some of the old vanities from Valentines event to the token vendor for high prices. People gatekeeping and forbidding non-LB items to return are probably why we have such barren token vendors these days.

devs, i have a quiick question? are the pointing system gonna be the same as last year where normal hugthulu gives 6+ and the hugthulu prime gives 36+? if yes, isn't it kinda brutal since the points needed to hit platinum tier is 20k points and we only have one week time limit to hit the highest tier? or are you guys going to lessen the points needed for each tier? (not all players consumes redbull and not all players can play all day)

Is it me or str amulet has hp regen over normal hp? 500 hp per sec on a 40k hp tank doesn't seem a good idea compared to 525 flat hp that combined with all % hp in gears will get much more value...

Not every tank has 40k hp plus I think it'll be really good for PvP where flat hp isn't as impactful clearly.

It's good that u heard ppl request and made usefull that radiant shard.
There is a small issue tho. This item cannot get obtained anymore. Ofc there are many ppl that have many in inventory alrd and more are selling in cs.
But for hardcore toons is an item that cannot be obtained in anyway. Looting all mats to be able to craft the egg would need lot of grind and even more plats spend, but at least everyone should have the option to go for it.
If possible maybe add in crate vendor radiant shard. Or add in craft station to be able to convert arcane shard into radiant? If u plan to keep using this radiant shard in the future again there should be a permanent chanse to get it.

Everything is the shop is for the heavy spenders, not a single vanity, aura or egg for the casual players.

A very good event, indeed for or even almost every event has an unwritten requirement, namely that it is mandatory to have 25 craft slots so that it can manage the amount of items to be crafted. Very grateful for this event because players who can't afford it can try to sell love letters worth their efforts (after they farm in Rahabkor), this event also encourages every player to be creative and think smart so they can reap a lot of profits from these events. events like this. It's just that there are indeed things that are difficult and lacking in terms of item drop and elixir time constraints.

Unfortunate things:
- Time and price of gold love elixir which are not friendly for new players or those who don't have good equipment.
- There is no free vanity exchanged for tokens.
- Rarely drops energy essence in the event portal (Unlike winter).
- There is no elixir that allows players to be immune to the slow effects of the pink pool (such as winter which has anti-freeze).
- none or I haven't noticed an elixir that can summon golden merkfin or increase the chance it appears.
- Maybe you can also consider the mobs in Rahab can provide energy essence.
