I think it would be cool, and it would make selling items easier if STS added a buying/selling option in the auction, like on steam market

It sounds nice but imagine red eggs for example, people like me could set a buy for 1000 each offer for 99999+ eggs and constantly rise what I pay when people set buy for offers higher than mine. It would only increase the price of items tbh.

Unfortunately, we don't want to reimplement ebay. On the back burner, probably at a priority so low it's not likely to be implemented, we have a spec for an actual time-based bidding system (w/ no limits, reserve price, etc.). I think if we were to do this, I'd want to eliminate player trade and make everyone go through the auction house. This would eliminate the potential for scamming and allow for a tax (gold sink) on listings/trades.
