How to contact a dev? On the forums in private?

Hey I was just wondering how I could get a hold of a dev or moderator I need to talk to them for something that I don't really wanna post in public for reasons of my own a reply would be nice on how to thanks. :)

You can always private message a developer on the forums but do not expect an answer straight away. I'm sure they get a lot of PM's each day.
