I think since there's very few new players, that maybe adding an account bound pet with xp bonus and minor stat boosts, so they can actually solo maps in the beginning would be appropriate.

I've talked to new players at level 20 - below and the concensus is the same: they need people to play with them or a stat boost to compensate for the lack there of.

I'd strongly suggest doing so...

I've had quite a few new players literally ask me "how to play".

I've gone out of my way to help them but it gets overwhelming trying to help several new people at once... I felt bad not being able to help one because I was busy helping someone else :/

Something should be done, that part is clear. Then again, the tutorial has been the same forever and most would even say it's common sense really.

100% an account bound pet would help a lot with newer players
2k health, armor, dmg and 100% xp boost would help so much with new players

New players would greatly benefit from assistance and guidance to help them navigate and understand the complexities of the game, also a starter xp pack just like on AL for platinum to instant level them to 100 will benefit both new players & STS.
