Hey everyone!

I have been going crazy over the new iOS mobile operating system (iOS 6) and the wait is finally over! Apple users should be able to download the latest version of OS September 12th, just a couple of weeks before the launch of the iPhone 5. This hasnt been confirmed yet, but all will become clear on the 12th! Thats next Wednesday!

How many of you are going to download the FREE update? What are your thoughts?

Apple have been release iOS 6 beta versions through the last few months for developers, and it should be the greatest update in Apple history!

This page will tell you a sneak peak of all the upcoming changes.

Pretty sure it is coming September 12th. I read a website that it will though. I can link to it if you would like?

Only website I'd take direct word from is Apple; and they'd never tell. I won't be updating my iPhone because jailbroken abilities are much nicer. But I'll surely update my iPad.

But, but, but Apple products aren't suppose to be buggy... :-D

Now, I don't have an iPhone nor have I messed with one enough to know much about it... but software updates are usually not free? I'd find that disappointing since every time a brand new OS update for Android comes out, its always free... while data usage rates apply. :p

I already patched a jailbreak using the beta too (: It's "super tethered" ATM lmao, you can only use jail broken apps when you run a program on the computer and connect the device.

Always been free for me?

iOS Updates are free for everyone and always have been. You can simply update from Settings>General, but it's faster to just plug it in to the computer (no data required).

It's rumored Siri is being released for iPhone 4s as well. Lol, 4(s) users payed to have an s on the back of their phone if so.

I was thinking about jail breaking my phone but I'm worried it will affect the performance. I didn't even think twice about my iPod but I don't really wanna fix anything if it's not broken.

Not always free, but mostly free. The first two iOS updates had a cost money, while the remaining ones were free.

Read on a article that it may not necessarily be released September 12th. The iPhone 5 is expected September 21st, so iOS 6 could be anytime between September 12th and the 21st.

Ah, thanks to water damage, I've resorted to using my old phone, my dad says he'll get the iphone 5 and give me his 4, and later will switch it for the 5. I'm guessing iOS 6 won't be able to run on 3Gs, and will probably make it obselete. Either way, I can't wait to see the debut.

-Not really looking forward to an iPad mini though :/

You heard correct!

Apple does progressive programming, if one of their handhelds get a feature, every one after that will too.

You will be surprised how the design of the iPhone 5 is just a slim version of the iphone4s + a bigger screen(pfft. GNote II is 5.5 inches but why would anyone care :> ).

Better A6 processor>>>>>supplied by Samsung LOL!

On a side note, Dp try quoting me XD

Already mentioned, but I'll post as well.

iOS 6 will be available as a download from iTunes via your computer or as a direct download next week. (Wednesday 19th September). It will be released on iPhone, iPad and the forth generation iPod Touch.

Apple also announced at Today's "iPhone 5" keynote some of the iPhone 5's features and the iOS 6 release date. As well as this, a new iPod Touch (Guessing will be iPod Touch 5G), set for October.

Figured the illegal characters/symbols were causing the quoting problems(at least for those on the tapatalk app.)

Thanks Sam for the username change ^_^

That's exactly what it was. Back on topic, begin countdown of lawsuits from HTC and Samsung for lte being on the new iPhone.
