The Twilight Temple event begins this week, so prepare yourself for the dangers within.
This one is not for the faint of heart.

Corvis the Golden, a powerful necromancer, inhabits a parallel realm where no Arlorian heroes exist to stop him for capturing and enslaving lost souls! However, every thousand years, those realms intersect but for a moment--and Corvis has pierced the veil to reach through and begin enslaving the Arlorians that we all know and love.

Brave the onslaught of Corvis' Realmkillers within the Twilight Temple. To protect Arlor and free the ailing souls under his rule!

How it Works

The Twilight Temple is a gauntlet style energy / leaderboard event and will run for 2 weeks (4/27 - 5/11) with a 3 day cooldown. To begin, visit the Chancel of Light to speak with the Restless Spirits who plead for your help. Face endless waves of enemies, either Solo or with a Group, earning points and tokens for each enemy defeated and bonus points for time left on each wave's 60 second timer.

Collect drops, spend tokens, craft, and climb the leaderboards to collect new vanities, pets, badges, and more.

This event is open to any Legend that has the Chancel of Light location unlocked, but beware, The Twilight Temple is highly difficult and best for high level and well-geared adventurers.

Note: Leaderboards will not reset mid-event and will run for the full 2 weeks!

Banned Elixirs

To create a fun and fair event, Fish Oil Damage Elixirs and Dark Apostle Bombs can not be used inside the Twilight Temple. If you have an Fish Oil elixir active before entering, the effects will be negated while inside.

The rewards from this event will have meaning like no other. Dumping a bunch of other stuff in there won't have any effect on what it'll mean to show off the LB Banners, or the Titles, nor that Badge.

Also, we're talking in the context of a 'temple' type event preview which (if you look at the history) literally always get trashed for the same reasons by the same lovely Legends ;-)

As for your specific suggestion: last time we did a bound top-tier item as a reward for this kind of event it got trashed because top ranks already have the requisite gear.

All of the vanity items for this event are crafted. You can purchase the recipes for all of the event vanity items with tokens. There are looted recipes for the Bone halo and the Realmkillers' Gaze vanity... but the reward focus is squarely on crafting.

99% of the complaints from the other thread are lb candidate players that had engaged to previous temple lbs. Too bad you have decided to greed the revenue from a vanity than to increase competition and activity if it was allocated in the top leaderboards. Reassess the Leaderboard vanities.

To be fair though: you definitely will have achieved something special compared to all of the players who didn't make Top 50.

As for the Top 10 thing...

By giving Top 10 all the rank rewards this time we're avoiding a situation that encourages you to run Top 50 as opposed to trying for best rank.

We'll see how this strategy fares during Twilight Temple :-)

I suspect people would be unhappy if we never provided vanities in boss loot for events in the future, even if you don't think it's 'actual' loot. Appreciate the feedback though.

To be fair the design team killed it with the auras and vanities. Definitely some of the best so props for that. But man if I’m gonna be honest with you guys STS, people just don’t really care for non animated titles or silver outlined badges anymore. People who are gonna make top 10 probably have dozens of those. But at the end of the day I’m sure you guys put a lot of effort into this event and it’s still a new event so….thank you. Take care

Im not usually one for a negative nancy, but here I go.

Pros:
Good vanity set + weapons
Excellent aura (im 100% buying)
Good w1 title (top 10 lb solo)
No elixirs allowed

Cons:
Vendor items lacking
No vanity set for LB
Banners are a tad lack luster...
Everything is a recipe
No lootable "rare" items such as badges, locks, etc. Mentioned.
Too many halo's for sale. (They are also really nice looking).

Adjustment suggested:
Make a vanity set for top 10?
Adjust some of the store purchased halos into loot? Or make new lootable badges.

I know this would be hard to implement, but would be awesome, and make people play the event more.

Currently, the event looks extremely pay to win.

If you have any ideas, let me know.

I really hope you to have some adjustment about the loot inside the map, maybe add drops of awake gem straight to satchel, elixirs, and very rare drops of arc/myth gears from bosses just like the past temple events,

There are many eyes-vanity like mask, sunglasses and now this nice gaze. However, when we put those on we can't wear a different helmet vanity (same if we wear ears). Can we have a different slot for these so we can wear both helmet and eyes/ears vanity at the same time?

All of the vanity items for this event are crafted. You can purchase the recipes for all of the event vanity items with tokens. There are looted recipes for the Bone halo and the Realmkillers' Gaze vanity... but the reward focus is squarely on crafting.

So basically after all this feedback, you add crafting for gold sinking and a ton of store sales for real money. If we are unhappy how long do you thing we will pay your salary?
I honestly have paid thousands in this game but I don't like the responses and the fact that you don't even think to try to make us happy. I won't be giving another dollar till I see that you listen to your players.
It would be really helpful if you guys had time to become an end game player to see the struggles and understand better the game

why not make a poll when u prepared some vanities and stuff so u let players decide what they would like to buy with plats and what they want to make more lb exclusive (and what is good as classic event drop)
instead of making these "personal" decisions with which the community doesnt agree with
i have spent alot on gear, preparing for this event and now im completely discouraged to compete since i dont like to wear banners and dont even keep badges turned on in settings

I know that it is meant to be a leaderboard style event but it’s a 2 week event and there isn’t much to loot in the event , it would be really nice and would make the event worth playing for the non lb runners .

The tier rewards can be non tradable , few bound elite awakes and a badge / title . Devs have a better idea , just an humble suggestion from my side :)

Cuz Temple is the only event that actually requires brain cells for a spot, it utilizes every aspect of the game in a strategized manner. No amount of time nor gold can get you a spot when you are bad, unlike other repetitive energy-based event leaderboards.

It's a big insult to leaderboard players with profound and in-depth knowledge about the innermost workings of this MMORPG, only to be rewarded with bugs on a stick banner. All this while we're seeing every aura, and halo behind paywalls.

I know that it is meant to be a leaderboard style event but it’s a 2 week event and there isn’t much to loot in the event , it would be really nice and would make the event worth playing for the non lb runners .

The tier rewards can be non tradable , few bound elite awakes and a badge / title . Devs have a better idea , just an humble suggestion from my side :)

Add some halo / house furniture / aura or something , every time same rewards are boring (just badge and title different) .

Wave 20 Bronze, wave 50 Silver, wave 75 Gold, Wave 100 Platinum. Unsure if they modified the difficulty from the past but 100 is easily achieveable.That might have been a good idea , but it's a 2 week event , i feel like tiers should be point based so that there is something to grind and It should be decently viable for the people with not so op gears .

I dont think you are aware of what is possible to influence prices.Ik that prices can be influenced in many ways , lieing / showing fake c.os is one way which is completely wrong , but just blaming someone for price manipulation without much proof is just bad and even if someone lies / shows fake c.o , no one really forces you to buy an item from a person , you can completely boycott that item , it's just strategy man !
