You could have made the banner and title tradable or can craft it into tradable versions for large amounts of gold. 50 elite gems for 400 runs, can already tell this is going to be a grindfest with little to no loot again..

Is the loot bugged for low level characters? I am only getting level 10 epic items on a level 17 character, while i get normal loots all rarity when trying higher level chars like level 30/60/81 seem to be normal, also luck reroll also seems to not be working on level 17 character with 100% luck, it doesn't reroll while it does work on higher level character.

Feels empty..we have nothing to grind other than 50 elite gems and banners. Make the chests that give gold craftable with something (epic gear) like greedy monarch chests. Add something to make it farmable because the ROI (return of investment which is time) is not worth it at all!

I also added up the points per run, in a perfect run you will get a maximum of 296~ points, but there will be times where you miss points from mobs due to you being far away from your team as they kill mobs so I decreased the average points per run to a number I get on average per run which is 264.
100,000 points is plat tier. 100k / 264 = 378.78 so I just rounded up to 400 minutes which is 6.6 hours. 6-7 hours of nonstop runs 0 breaks.

First off, wanted to say that winter theme is highly welcome! I absolutely love the artwork of the badge and the weapons. I still remember farming for those entombed hammers back in the days of nordr. Overall very grindy and nice little gold sink you guys casually added in xD I'm so glad the items aren't locked behind a luck loot table and that we can actually grind for them. It was ridiculously impossible to loot the fire wyrm wings or siafara vanities of previous events. I much rather to have something obtainable through the grind! Well done!

As others mentioned, would be nice to have more things that drop or tokens while grinding to plat tier.

- General Cravyn as plat tier exclusive spawn

Cons:
- low gold drop
- nothing interesting from Yeti (are you sure it is a Yeti?)
- nothing interesting from mobs or minibosses
- absence of chests with loot

suggestion:
- add 1 chest to every mini + 1 to the boss room (3 in total), make them drop elixirs or jewels
- make General Cravyn drop same gold main boss (Yeti?) drops,
- add DIAMOND tier (500k pts?) with something special (either Yeti? or General Cravyn as bound pet hah)

It is a good decision making an event where every arlorians from top to average geared can farm and chill after such events that require hard grinding. Plus, there are cool rewards which are not hard to get them.

A diamond tier, or a tier higher than platinum for a mini-event with no leaderboard would be AMAZING, it would give none-leaderboard players an amazing goal to achieve without having to dedicate hundreds of millions of gold, like how most leaderboards are ran.

But once theres an event with a leaderboard included, I think it should be max platinum and then leaderboard, thus keeping the leaderboard runners happy, and the normal runners happy getting 'diamond tier' every once in a while :)

-Leaderboard runners are happy with their leaderboards in main events
-Plat tier runners are happy with their plat tier remaining
-Plat tier runners who farm the hell out of the game are even more happy since they have a bigger goal to achieve

I think you need to reach plat tier first before you can start looting them?

Event is pretty weak, i guess that jewel is the only reason some are running this. I know this isnt the place but i really hope you leave at least most of the Temple's rewards tradeable..

No. It's working fine - you just need to find the item that's required to start off the quest. When you use the item in the right place you'll get the quest.

I'm writing this thread because i'm having trouble starting the Plat Tier quest on the current event going on.
Yesterday evening, before finishing Plat Tier late tonight, i was running with a group of 4. ( Today, I had to finish things up solo :c )

I noticed while running, we encountered like 50+ of the Yellow named, High health warrior mini boss, at the end of the event map.
-Maybe that had something to do with a bugged quest? I was told the chances to spawn him were small, and we were farming crates off of it, really quickly.

Another instance of these quests giving us issues: my buddy was able to loot the mythic drop to craft the badge about 20 times, within our same party.
-We learned, that without completing your quest, and moving to the next step, you were just able to keep spawning the same bosses / items with each kill of the troll.

Another thing i heard from a friend, is that without the badge craft recipe being completed, you can't create the vanity weapon, let alone get the quest started?
-I swear, every person who we speak to, ( my friend and i who each just finished plat on our own ) have told us something bizarre, and different than the previous.

I know above, that i said the boss is rare, but i haven't even been able to start the first quest with the event npc at the portal. ( I'd assume that's where u grab it, despite reading the tome not giving me any prompts? )

Someone just help me figure it out, or confirm you've ran into the same issue. Please and thanks. Let me know anything you've found or learned below.

You need to loot an item from the boss after reaching plat, but it's pretty rare.
I looted it at 109k points now, so around 30-40 runs. You don't need the badge at all.

You will need to loot something called a 'Burning Page' from the final boss first. After which, head over to the tomb/book and place it there. Once you have placed it your quest will immediately be available for you to start on.

- There will be 3 quests in total for plat tier, all of which will grant you the necessary materials (exactly the same pattern when crafting the badge) for you to craft the preferred weapon of your choice.

Im also at plat tier rn (105k and still no sign of the Burning Page).Reading this make me to think again do i really need the vanity.Because it remind me of the previous event where i reached 150k point at renown event and got 0 recipe.

Is it me or what that the new questline to craft thunderstorm vanity weap does not activate even tho its says on the description that its available on plat tier then read the frost tome located at the beginning of the event map. Am I missing something here?

You have to loot a burning page from the boss before you get access to the quests. There are threads similar to this try to have a read.

I am doing current event on a lv 15 and for some reason the difficulty to drop the burning page item is too high (compared to level 81) or her drop is buggy at low levels.
I made almost 130k points and I didn't drop the burning page, some friends are also having the same problem.
I would like to ask you to check if there is any bug related to this.
If it's not a bug, I ask you to specify the percentage of chance for each level to drop.

Not that I know any kind of tricks I doubt reading the tome each run helps. Best and the worst thing I can say is, rely on your luck. Guildie got it on his 35th run, Goodluck!

I had the quests ready instantly on level 17 character when I got plat, I didn't even know there was an item needed to be looted but I must have gotten it without noticing. I do see a lot of others are having issues with it though. You must just have to get lucky.

I like the rewards for gold and plat tier, I think the swishy banners are good. The badge also looks great! It was fun to run initially with friends but obviously when they have achieved the tier it’s unreasonable to expect them to continue running.
The map was familiar and unusual to see this event at this time of year. The amount for crafting the items I guess is to act as a gold drain..although I’m sure the amount will be difficult for quite a few players.

If there was anything else to drop in this map then maybe wouldn’t be so bad but like a lot of things introduced as ‘new’ it lacks imagination. I wonder if anyone else feels these events are just there to increase player’s frustrations. It’s like there’s some good ideas that become lost somewhere between creation and implementation. To obtain a quest has now become random..incredible..

First of all, I like the idea of craftable/farmable vanities and the subtle gold sink feature that comes with it. The new badges are cool, I like them and some of them are my favorite. The Vanities are fresh air to my eyes because I've been using the same vanity weapons for ages.

However, as others have mentioned, isn't it a bit too much? I could've been "okay" and remain silent after grinding 100k points for Platinum Tier and get the so called Burning Page after a few more runs in Platinum Tier. Couldn't be happier if it works that way. But why make the chance to encounter Cravyn so low? After the encounter, I have to report to Bandero like Cinco mentioned and I don't know if it is a guaranteed loot for the Burning Page after that and that only makes me feel more and more discouraged.

Second, the other problem to me is that there is not much to care about other than the Tiers, the Burning Page and the chance to encounter Cravyn. What I am trying to say is, when you make an event and have people commit to it, I, personally am expecting something at the end of the long hours of running it. Currently, I've been making gold by liquidating all the epic gears looted from the event map.

I really, really appreciate it that you guys are doing all of this for the players, the designs, mechanics, everything... you've been listening to the community more than ever as well. A lot of Quality of Life updates these past few months which I think is awesome.

Finally, I really wanted to craft the vanity Daggers, never have I been so excited to farm and craft something. Last time I felt this way was when Planar Pendant was first released, but after I realized I've been going far beyond Platinum Tier with no single encounter with Cravyn let alone the chance to report back to Bandero about it. You can probably see the amount of people that are complaining with the drop rates in forums as only a minority, pretty sure that speaks for its entirety. Also FYI I ran with 0% luck, so basically getting the item drop is purely and solely based on your pure luck. Hence increasing the drop rate % wouldn't even do anything, let alone increasing the odds if that's what you're hoping for.


With that being said - have you tried referring to what Cinco have been hinting you with since yesterday?

I went up to 135/6k after an hour or so extra, of solo runs since the night before when i had 128k Points.
Since then, i decided it's impossible to even loot something of an "Epic" Tier, since the boss only drops Epic or Rare tier items. The chance seems unbearably low.
The fact i wanted to run this event twice, on 81 and on a level 11, within the span of a week, and being unbelievably unlucky as i had been, i just don't see it as being possible.

Unless there's a fix and the quest just becomes widely available at this point, without some hidden mechanics or extra means to "unlock" the quest in the first place, i don't think i'll have much faith in any future/new event ideas.

I've been a loyal player on/off for so many years. And when everyone else here is asking the same questions regarding drop rates, and why everything became so wildly thrown out of proportion, i just don't think that i'm wrong in being allowed to complain.
Unless we could've looted the page before plat tier, and it further bugs our quest when we finally do achieve it, there's still people who can't even speak to the quest NPC at the beginning for any further progression in the event.

Exactly, everyone nowadays seems to have incorporated the mindset of needing every rare item to drop significantly just because he/she couldn't loot it while others could. That defeats the whole purpose of it does it not? I would rather see the items being used as a minority rather than a majority, else it defeats the purpose of even owning such 'rare items'.

It has a chance to drop from the main event boss (the giant ice troll) for players that have reached Platinum Tier.

Once you have the Burning Page you can use it on the Frozen tome to invoke the vanity weapon quest line.

It is not a bug that the Burning Page is rare. The rarity of the item is meant to preserve trade value for those who are fortunate enough to loot it. It is many (many) times less rare than the recipe for the burning wings vanity offered during the Crypt of Renown.

This is the wisest comment i ever read. So true lol...i never had problem with running for rare items in this game because i never bother to and my goal was omly reaching plat tier, and merching in game.
You can't expect to guarenteely drop rare items once you are above 100k points.
Unless the drop rate are extremely rare where no player have looted the rare items for 5 days since event started, then we can complain.

The warrior running with us, ( me, charizzma, elleora ) was Blessful. He pretty much was our carry, throughout the runs we did between 1st - 2nd day. Whenever our PT was formed.
So unless the spawn chance of this special mini boss is the same rate as this supposed page from the final boss, but you won't confirm any of the tier quests are bugged, we still were guaranteed him (cravyn) every single run, till blessful left and/or completed his quest.

Please stop saying "they did a silent fix, secret nerf, etc.." Nerf and Bug fixes are mostly announced, and sometimes for bugs and glitches. People hating on STS because they put things inside their head that "sts did this that and blah blah" but STS didn't do anything. I just don't understand why people over think stuff, stop carving "He looted that very rare item, therefore I should be too 100%" which you're totally wrong.

Running solo: he won't show up 'til you have completed the vanity quest series you get from the Frozen Tome (the series that requires the burning page). His story is connected to that quest line.

Running with a party: he will show up if someone in the party has completed that series. In your example, it was your friend who made him spawn.

Yeah. We originally were not going to show ‘til you got the item, etc - so it would remain hidden for most. I think this might be best for bonus content like this in the future.

Appreciate the feedback - but Plat Tier isn’t for casual. Maybe in Egg Hunt but not for combat events.

Also the beauty of AL is that you can just trade for the item. You don’t have to loot it to own it.

Either craft or buy.

First, you need to reach plat tier, after that just keep playing the event, there's a hidden quest that you can only do if you're plat tier, but first you need to loot an item called Burning Page its an epic item so watch very closely. Once you obtained the page, you then will place the burning page to tome that can be found right at the spawn of event map, the following quests are relatively easy, you should be fine on your own once you get the Burning Page.

Next time make plat tier max at 50k.. 100k seems to be way too much considering u get 270 points a map.. if you want to make things way more interesting add diamond tier at 100k that gives flawless jewels and 100 elite awakes extra imo that seems to be worth the grind

Plat tier is achievable but once you hit gold tier(25k points )and complete the quests which take you to around 28k points..there is nothing to keep you entertained. It’s just enter..kill mobs..kill minis..kill boss..rinse and repeat..I would have liked to see possibly more quests..or at least decent loot drops to help along the way..and then to get to plat tier and run heaven knows how many more runs to loot an item that opens a quest is not fun. You could run 100k points daily and still not loot the item required. There are no worthwhile loot drops that would at least give some incentive and that’s why some are feeling a little frustrated.
You say the item is tradable and can just buy it, so basically it’s like saying no need for you to run the event..I play this game to be involved..to farm items I need. Why else would I log on? I get a better sense of achievement from being involved with events..if for entertainment all I need to do is buy something I’ll shop online..I expect perhaps too much from a mmorpg.

Some people totally disagree on having rare loots, looks like, but here are some reasons why should some drops be rarer:
•Exclusivity: i bet no one would like to wear same as everyone.
•Price: as rarer it is, the expensive it turns.

It is not a bug that the Burning Page is rare. The rarity of the item is meant to preserve trade value for those who are fortunate enough to loot it. It is many (many) times less rare than the recipe for the burning wings vanity offered during the Crypt of Renown.

What type of game is this because as I said in another comment it’s the quest line that’s rare so we can’t play the event to it’s full. Also we don’t get the chance to run for the plat tier mini unless we run with someone who did complete the quest. This game has swayed to far in the favour of encouraging greed and creating a greater distance between the ‘have’ and have nots’ .You already sell limited items in store for plat , you restrict special vanities to event lb..and now events are getting similar treatment. Games should give people a ‘feel good’ factor and one look at this thread explains that for the most part this is not happening.
The vanity weapons could have been a rare drop but the event quest shouldn’t be..the recipe itself has a crafting cost..it’s just madness. Were you preserving the price on the supply crates too?

I have 286,185 points still no burning page hahaha. Nice mini event, I killed boss around 700-750 times I still dont get an "epic" quest item. It's not rare when you dont get it at %1 or %0.5 rate. If it was %0.2 drop rate I would've got that "epic" item. Its not rare if its like %0.00001 or %0.002 it is impossible. I've done more than 1100 rounds for this "mini" event still dont get anything other than a precise jewel and a badge.

I would like to respond to something you brought up. Vanities aren’t derided by committed players because they are common, look at the witch vanities, the grim reapers, more recently the ‘Daphne’ scooby doo set, the shark set was great ..none of these items were unattainable for anyone yet I love them for their design. The fun we had in maps with some of these was priceless, the dress for the tanks caused many a laugh but maybe this opinion of mine is worthless in the current development of the game. Some of us talk with personal feelings others attempt to manipulate Its not always easy to express opinions on this forum for fear of derision. Maybe my feedback was unclear and I’m happy to discuss this further in pm.

You are not entitled to have everything just because others has it. I, for an example 3 of us my friends been running Renowned event for an entire week, 1 of them looted the wings, and 2 looted title recipes, and I looted none. and the fact that I can just buy what they got is still a win win because I seriously want it. so this logic even applies on this event. You're so annoying.

Edit: for my feedback, Please if you're doing another event like this, consider adding event tokens and token vendor. So we have another thing to do whilst farming for a "rare ingredient" thus farming beyond platinum tier feels rewarding each time we invest our time on it.

@Cinco The main issue with the drop rate is that people spend hours of their time and there is almost nothing to get after reaching plat tier except that quest , it feels very frustrating that after spending hours of time you get 0 payout , atleast some bound elite awake kits / bound normal awake dropping from the main boss would surely make it a bit more engaging and less painful anyways coz currently after reaching plat tier there is absolutely nothing to do , just feels like a waste of time .

I hope future events aren't SOo based upon only rng and atleast drop something decent [Bound Elite / normal awakes] for the huge amount of time players spend atleast so that people don't feel all the effort they put has gone wasted [emoji17]

I never said I wanted the item and I had some feedback giving my opinion of things in this event. I’m not one of those that wants to sit in camp, I want to play and enjoy the games content and to be honest seems that’s a rare breed of player nowadays. We have always had rare drops, vials and recipe for Nekro, planar pendant recipe to name a couple. The difference with that compared to a one week event is that those maps are still playable. Maybe put all the "rare" crafting ingredients into a chest that costs gold to open (50-100k), make the chest quite a rare boss drop & all its contents are "non tradeable"

So players can either open it to get the ingredients to craft the vanity or sell it for others to open.

Opening it wouldn't guarantee a single missing ingredient that you need so you have to open a bunch of it to get all the required ingredients..

I see your point, but the main appeal of this event was the Banners, because of event's lacking contents, it is quite frustrating to many for not looting the Page thus wasting a lot of time trying at the same time those runs could've been more fruitful if they added more contents like tokens and token vendor, which forces many to try their luck but ended being unfortunate.

That's why adding token vendor would've been a better move rather than having a guaranteed loot on a specific tier points. In the end, Item's preservation as intended works well and people being rewarded whilst trying to be fortunate enough to get one.
