Just a guess:
It looks like there is a proxy server involved, so instead of requesting account.spacetimestudios.com it is being redirected through guestwifi.publix.com.
The error is likely occurring because PL is attempting to redirect the response to a text file (status.txt), but the proxy is not honoring the redirect.
Damn proxy servers!

weird iv been in same spot all along mayb theres publix close by but i doubt wifi goes that far, im pretty sure its like a light away
