Are you seeing people more than + or - 5 levels in PvP maps?

In another thread http://www.spacetimestudios.com/showthread.php?68078-Bug-in-pvp-levels-allowed-in-map people were complaining about seeing characters more than 5 levels + or - in PvP maps (like a lvl 35 in with a 21).

Are you seeing this happen? We were not able to reproduce the issue in testing. If you are seeing this happen, can you tell us your in game character name and when you saw it (and if you remember the other character's name that would be great). With that info we can track down what's happening.

It's happened to me more times then once.

Example: I was a 56 and was able to join a game with L66 players in it.

I can't remember who exactly was in the game, but I know that I was on my elf, Parthypoo.

I was on my lvl 40 bear in a 35 game and had a 26 on my team. I dont recall his name but it was forest fight.

Pretty sure it was 66. Even if it was 61, there's still many other incidents that happened to me where it should not have been possible to join, period.

Or some steps by where you can actually get into a game not in your level range.

Happened to me too^^ on my 22 i was in a game it finished we hit replay then appeared in a whole new game 3 of the 6 and one team had 4 points already and other had 2 lol

Yes Sam, this happens very often. Instead of being able to join level + 5 or -5, just make level ranges. (Ex. 50-55)

I ended up as a 60 in a 51 game
I believe what happened was two less than 50% full games merged when they were remade one being 55 which I originally joined and the 51 game that was the name that was left

Funkyeni join my lvl 61s (idraa) game and he's is lvl 66. The host was lvl 60. It happened a day or three ago.

I'm sure he accessed the game by joining me from his friends list. I didn't give it a second thought

I'm assuming since I had been with the game through 3 or 4 rmks, I'm guessing it merged with a 61-63 game and the higher remained host, the game I originally joined was 58 I believe

yesterday 9/25

i was on my l37 voodoo in a l35 game when a l45 bear came, Because of this is that when a person host a pvp game ( example would be him lvl 40,) and leaves, And a 45 joins while the game is in session, So after a couple of games without the host, then someone automatically becomes the host, in this case, hes l35, so the game has changed to l35 game but a l45 havent left yet, case closed

I, as well as everyone here, have experienced this issue several times. I tried to get to the bottom of it and I think I have a theory. On my 56 bear I joined a game that was hosted by a 51. A few minutes into the game, the host left. A couple other 56 players joined and, once fighting began to get get dull, I left to join another game. Upon entering the join screen there was only one match available that was level 56. Upon entering this match I found the exact same group that I had just left. In other words, the "host level" essentially rose from 51 to 56, even though no host was present.

I have no idea how the level was changed to 56, but this does offer an explanation for some of the issues we've had. For instance, you're 51 and you enter a 56 hosted game. The host leaves but a 61 joins. Next thing you know the game is shown on the join screen as a 61 game. Then a 66 joins and lo and behold, you're now a 51 facing a 66.

I'd have to do some testing to see if this is correct or not, of course.

Also idk of this is related but after initial game you host you are not host of the rmks, so you can only boot for first game

This sounds like the most logical possibility from a programming standpoint. If the lvl isn't set at time of creation but resides with the host's lvl, then a host leaving could end up passing that token to the second person who joined, the highest lvl player, or even the next/first player alphabetically. From a logic standpoint, a floating variable tied to the host of the game sounds like a very likely possibility. Having that variable set static at game creation instead of referring back to the player(host) would be the best way to rectify this. As always Sam you take the lead in delivering results to the pvp/ctf community. Please push for balanced endgame pvp so I might have a reason to return.
