New Shields Please!!!

I think everyone agrees with me when i say that we need new shields for the game. The lvl 35 shields in the plat store were great but aren't going to be very useful in the fight against the Scorn's Phase II. Could you guys maybe create some new shields just like the one you had in the in the plat store and sell them there too for the new cap raise :) And don't forget to remember me and my suggestion if you actually create them ;)

Why do we need shields anymore? They were only useful because the class-based weapons were not useful. You'd lose too much armor stat, but now you get shield and weapon in one. If they keep going the way they started with Scorn 2, we won't need shields anymore. Sad, but true.

So what are we going to do with the pistols? They aren't useful anymore and the rifles are even good to use as a back up weapon.

Get the ones with Hit. None of the new armor has hit anymore, so people are gonna be having under 100 percent hit now. That means misses, even more if you count PVP dodges.

Under 30 Ops use duals and everybody else usually uses rifles. 30 to 40 many people are going shield including Ops, but now everybody can cut loose with their class weapon.

But yea pistol and shield became one of the least desirable weapons now with how class weapons actually have armor and became useful without sacrificing survivability. Good job on that STS!

Epic commando armor has boost to hit %. My commando has 116% chance.

I'm glad that pistol and shield has finally been dethroned as the only loadout people use, I will stop dancing on its grave long enough to point out that the new class weapon changes have basically eleiminate rifles and pistols from PvE use entirely. They seem to be getting about as much use now as class weapons were getting pre-crusade. I'd be nice if they also had an armor boost. Not enough to out perform class weapons, but enough so that they are competitive. For example, I used to use pistol and shield against bosses, but since Crusade, that's become unwise, and I have to use my cannon (which is really weak against bosses). It'd be nice if rifles had a reasonable amount of armor, say 300. That would be enough so that using one wouldn't cripple your defense, but not to the point where everyone starts using rifles exclusively. It would work best if they tweaked the rifle stats so that there would be one variant of rifle that worked very well with each class, and the armor value of that rifle matched up to that classes main weapon. So commando rifles might boost health, engi would gain energy, and op rifles would boost hit % and crit.

I definately agree with this post. A new shield or shields would be greatly apreciated. Its not the fact that the new weapons have armor, its that a pistol plus a shield may have a different strategic value. Im on my phone, but i can make a great argument against any reason not to make new shields... Please consider making new shields.

Sure some hadn't had a clue why they were using Shield and Pistol combo, just heard it was "best".

However the one's that used this to their full advantage within their build got messed up.

Yeah kind of messed the Auction Market up Major Time...
Was going to sell most of my legendary gear (pre lvl 42-46 cap) Now no point LOL
Primed Tempest coil has lost about 100k in value because a green lvl 42 weapon is more powerful.
Same with the lvl 40 Legendary Chests...

Infact the whole Market economy has crashed imo, only Vanities are stable.

But back on topic. They should make a lvl 46 shield on many reasons, one to use with a hand gun, two for more customisation on how we play, three potential set bonus again and four to provide the actual reason in using a hand gun :-)
Probably repeated myself a couple of times there... But you get the point I hope lol. *sigh*

The only possible way to make it work out for everyone is to not nerf the class specific weapons like they did with the lvl 35 shield and gun combos. :-D

Meh, I still say shields are no longer needed. But this just means less difference in play style if everybody uses a class weapon.

That or there should be shields with the same armor as the class weapons. At least this way we would have more equipment options. The way it is now it's just better to use the class weapons.

They could have made it to fit both categories, but instead took the easy way out. (Adding Crazy amount of Armour to Weapons)

i kept thinking of this in my mind, why shields and guns, the only person who uses shields and guns are SWAT, and why not something like sidearm(maybe a laser or a deotationating(i dont no how to spell that but i no it activates bombs and stuff) device) or maybe a communicating device which allows u to troll ur voice and instead of typing,talking.
