What would be its main utility? Most of them seem to be functionally the same. I prefer to have a serated edge near the pomel, which works wonders when the straight edge isn't enough, that also lessens wearing down a good edge when you need force.
If I were choosing it would be determined by price and sheeth.
I'm hooked on Kershaw because they are local and give both a warrantee and offer to sharpen for free if you send it in.
