An ancient proving ground.
Designed by the Drowned Monarch Zaarus to challenge the finest soldiers of the Zodian Guard.

This special content is a permanent addition to the Zodias Campaign but it is only available every other Season.
You'll have from July 13th 'til October 1st to dominate the Catacombs, collect new Vanity items, and Arcane gears!
Special Badges and Titles will be awarded to Top Scoring Legends and those what finish the dungeon fastest.
At the end of the Season, the Zodias Catacombs shut down for a season before returning to life!

How to Play

The portal to the Arcane Catacombs can be found in the Heracleion Town interior.
To enter the portal (one time) you will need a "Zodias Arcane Catacombs" key.
Components for crafting the key can be looted (easily) from Zodias Bosses.

The Zodias Arcane Catacombs key Recipe is purchased from Asim.
You must be Level 81 and "Advocate" Rank (or higher) to purchase this recipe.

Craft a key and use it on the portal to enter the Arcane Catacombs.
The key cannot be traded but it can be stashed.
Keys are consumed on use.
Once your Party enters the starting area the door will open and you're on your way!
Pick-up / Random groups require four (4) players.
There are no Class restrictions (though balanced classes are encouraged to collect best gold - see Treasure Chambers below).

These badges are Cyclical and can be worn 'til the next Arcane Catacombs Season begins.

On Difficulty
This map is hard but it's far from 'impossible.'
Zaarus gear (or higher) is recommended but not required.
As with all endgame content, Hardcore Characters should be very, very careful!

Monster Abilities
Be very careful of monster attack 'red zones.' They can have very damaging effects.
You could be "Blinded" by MechAnubis' 'Robo Crabs' red zone attack.
Blindness slows you down and makes you unable to attack for a while.
Your potions can be "Weakened" by MechAnubis' giant Skeletons' red zone attack.
Potions are significantly less effective for several seconds in this case.
Also: larger monsters' red zone attacks are likely to push / pull you into danger.
That danger includes traps...

Traps!
Various traps exist throughout the dungeon.
Unlike the traps you encountered in the Hyberian Labyrinth, the Zodias Catacombs traps aren't inherently deadly...
They do affect your gameplay in ways you'll want to avoid:

Sludge Pool
If you touch the Sludge pool you'll be slowed (considerably) for several seconds.

Shrieking Pool
If you tread across the demonic 'Shrieking Pool,' your skills will be silenced for several seconds.

Potboiler Trap
If you get caught in the 'Potboiler Trap,' your potions will be curdled and ineffective for several seconds.

Pet-Eating Vortex
If you are ensnared in the 'Pet-Eating Vortex' your pet will be dismissed and you'll be unable to re-summon for several seconds.

Gold

The gold loot available in the Arcane Catacombs is currently the best in the game.
Offering roughly +30% base gold compared to the richest Zodias maps.

However...
Monsters in the Arcane Catacombs (with the exception of MechAnubis) do not drop gold.
Gold comes from opening treasure chests.
The vast majority of treasure chests will be found in Treasure Chambers.

Treasure Chambers

There are three (3) Treasure Chambers in the Arcane Catacombs.
Each chamber is sealed by an ancient Zaarus Statue and an impassible golden chain.

Only the appropriate Class can open its associated Treasure Chamber...
Rogues can open the Rogues' Treasure Chamber.
Sorcerers can open the Sorcerer's Chamber.
Warriors can open the Warriors' Chamber.
Once a Treasure Chamber is opened all Party members can enter and face a mini-boss.
Defeat the mini-boss to spawn a large number of treasure chests... and loot them for your rewards!

The zone is smaller than the Deep Marsh (by a lot) and slightly longer than the typical Zodias Campaign map.

Nobody can join the map after the timer starts.

They cannot be directly removed / re-socketed. The Power Stones are lost when you replace them.

Theoretically the 2% critical hit damage per jewel is uncapped and you could (if you're the luckiest Legend in Arlor) get insane crit damage if you got the elite version of the jewel installed every time you socketed one. It's not a high probability though - on par with what you get with other jewels that offer this kind of bonus.

And yes: running Arcane Catacombs will take longer than running other Zodias content.

The recipe you need to make each key is 50 Fathoms.

You're likely to loot one key component every time you defeat a Zodias boss monster.

Crafting takes 30 minutes and sinks 5k gold.

- Make the bracelet proc other that stat boosting, expected bracelets effects to be more focused in player interaction but so far all i see is stat boosts here and there (except elondrian or goblin bracelets i think, but these are weak overall).

- Make the legend pet usable stat wise instead of another dust-gathering pet. Ie: +30 primary, +20 str/dex/int, +20% dmg stack, +10% speed stack, +5% crit dmg.

- Are these new arc gears the same as current kraken items (proc wise)? I would rather use these even if they have lower stats as long as procs are fun to use.

- Do these arc gears work toward kraken item bonuses (the extra effects that activate when wearing specific pieces together).

Yes. Other events will run while Arcane Catacombs is active.
Pearls will return to the store for Platinum - and they will be a rare drop from this content.
There are no plans for higher floors since this event involves a "Fastest Time" LB with rewards.

- Make the bracelet proc other that stat boosting, expected bracelets effects to be more focused in player interaction but so far all i see is stat boosts here and there (except elondrian or goblin bracelets i think, but these are weak overall).

- Make the legend pet usable stat wise instead of another dust-gathering pet. Ie: +30 primary, +20 str/dex/int, +20% dmg stack, +10% speed stack, +5% crit dmg.

- Are these new arc gears the same as current kraken items (proc wise)? I would rather use these even if they have lower stats as long as procs are fun to use.

- Do these arc gears work toward kraken item bonuses (the extra effects that activate when wearing specific pieces together).

- Stat boosting is good for this. You'll want the stats to run this content.

- Those stats and that number of stat bonuses would be more appropriate for a Mythic (or an older Arcane).

- There are variances in proc strength and stats. For instance, a Kraken proc might give you +25% Primary Stat while a MechAnubis proc will give you +20% but also have +5% haste, etc., etc.

- Yes, the MechAnubis stuff contributes to and benefits from the Level 81 Arcane item interplay.

No; that only affects pools that are spawned by enemies in the midst of combat. The Sludge, Shrieking, Pet-Eating pools are dungeon hazards - not spawned by monsters.

Should be obvious. Right? Kraken gear is Platinum-purchased. Why would bound f2p gear be as good as (let alone better)?

In all cases it's a trade-off. Less proc stat for + item stat. Or less item stat for additional item stat of similar value.

I won't convince anyone that the bound MechAnubis gear is equivalent to Kraken gear so I'm not gonna try (I'm just gonna know).

Cinco can we get longer proc time for spirit weapons?
Some of them are fun and pretty decent but the procs are so short like 3 seconds (Staff, Daggers, Aegis) and then they go into CD for a long period of time..
Not asking for much, just like 2 extra seconds for these weapons so they will be more useable while not being op.

Sent from my iPhone using TapatalkJust a suggestion from my side , could you make the mechanubis vanities and it's crafting materials bound else it will loose its value a lot in the long run and no one will see it as a big achievement or a big deal to own the vanity , while if the materials and vanity are bound it will always stay desirable and worth the effort and more people will try to work hard to get it , else people will just wait for it to fall in price and then buy it from another player with gold , which kinda looses the essence.
