Trade Spamming

I did a brief search and didn't find any topics covering this, but I have to believe it was suggested before.

It is beyond annoying that players can spam the trade button on you and fill up your chat window with the notification. I would like to keep my notifications on so that legit trades can be made, but when I don't respond to a trade and they continually attempt to initiate a trade it totally blocks out chat, spams the notification across the middle of my screen for several minutes afterwards. It is incredibly annoying.

My suggestion here would be that there be a time limit set in between trades. Perhaps a minute or so per individual. This would deter the trolls out there from wrecking an otherwise fun gaming experience with their immaturity.

Good idea. Also you can just "mute" person who spamming.

I tried that. It actually kept spamming the message. Whether it was a new attempt or the buffer from the previous 100 attempts is uncertain, but the message kept being displayed after the mute was engaged.

Well it works if you mute someone. Just

Mute => Log off => Log in => Everything is cool.
