Yup it's currently free, but they limited server changes to once every 24 hours (not much of a deterrent). Which profession are you playing first?

I went with a Human, female elementalist. So far it's proved worth it! What about you?

Btw, my ign is "Mightymicah". What's yours? (I'll switch to your server)

Awesome! I currently have two toons: Human Thief (main) and Asura Mesmer. Definitely worth every penny. I'll add you in-game when I get home from work. I can't put into words how awesome the game is. Be prepared to be sucked into the game, addiction guaranteed.

My IGN:

Didn't see your comment till just now! Sorry buddy. It's a medieval based game where the world of 5 races has been attacked by dragons and all the races must band together to save it. It's an MMORPG and a crazy good one at that!

@Growwle lol My OCD kills me when I get a digital copy of anything.

Don't confuse medieval for old looking, it's got the best visuals in any game by far - Fantasy > Medieval.

System requirements aren't crazy ridiculous as you'd think either. (Only the space it takes up, or takes to download. (See above)

Remember, the "minimum requirements" are usually just enough to load the game, not actually play it. Although GW2 scales very well.

Maybe it's because I am a big fan of TSW but so far I am disappointed by the lack of enemies "I want to hate". They seem a little too "neutral"... kind of not bent on world destruction or something... lol

Lol I see where you're coming from but I do disagree. I love, love, love that aspect! I've always hated having to dodge around enemies every freaking space I'm moving in lol. It's nice to just keep my guard up in certain areas. That's just the way I see it ;)

Are you kidding me? In terms of lore, let's go directly to the Elder Dragons...those abominations are so not "neutral" @@ They've been habitually ending and corrupting eras of life for several cycles (thousands of years)...you know, like they kill everyone > satisfied > they hibernate > wake up > kills everyone again > sleep > rinse and repeat. They destroy life cycles over and over with the purpose of ending or corrupting life. Simply put, they are devourers of life. Unlike in other RPG's where it only takes one hero or a group of heroes to end all Tyranny, these abominations needs the entire arms of Tyria to at least put them to sleep...LOL.

In terms of actual combat...the game has challenging dungeons and hard group event bosses that require dozens of people to take down. So I'm not really sure what you mean.

PS: @ Mightymicah - What time you usually on bro? server time.

Look I am not debating the game is just too... glossy for my taste, it lacks gritty, the enemies are not convincing. It is still a great game that I am thoroughly enjoying!

Two of my level 80 guildmates quit already, saying that there is nothing worthwhile to do at endgame if you are not into PVP. This sucks, so I am not going to rush through the last 10 levels now, so I do not get burned out myself.

True, I agree that the guys rushed ahead too quickly and probably expected too much. Best thing about GW2 is that there is no sub fee and you can take a break and come back to the game without losing any money.

You can turn the server time on in your menu (toggle the box that says server time on/off), this is like the universal time of Tyria so we're all talking of the same timezone. It should appear in the lower portion of your mini-map in white text :D

And then?

Out of that list half the players would only do 20+ if that. Many on any game just do the PvE content hit cap and then say that's it. They wouldn't consider the rest of things that "need" to be done.
