So...

For my wife and I's anniversary, we spent the weekend in Hot-lanta and went see Journey, Pat Benatar, and Loverboy in concert. Was most excellent!!

After the concert was over, I got to thinking about the former lead singer for Journey: Steve Perry. IMO, he has one of the greatest singing voices ever. As I continued to sit in traffic to head back to the hotel, I thought to myself: "If I were to piece together a band, who would I have?" Here is who I came up with:

Lead singer: Steve Perry - Journey
Lead guitar: Eddie Van Halen - Van Halen
Bass: Flea - Red Hot Chili Peppers
Drums: Lars Ulrich - Metallica

I realize these may not be the "best" in their perspective disciplines, but for my Elite Band, I wouldn't trade any of them.

So my question to the community is, who is your Elite Band? :)

I figured I'd come up with the anti-thesis. Look at the other choices.

Ace and Ringo aren't my favorites but K don't consider them "bad". I was actually comparing the genre in your list. But I see where you were headed now. LOL

2 hours I spent looking at "major" bands wondering "who's the worst that made it big". Not easy. :P
