Can't get past Level 14 on Dark Forest

I have two characters One level 16 and the other level 14 warrior. I cannot seem to gain any exp for my level 14 warrior even on the Dark Forest campaigns. I'm stuck at 23 exp all the time. The enemies are showing the yellow color sphere by the way, that would mean that it is 2 levels below me,right? My Level 16 enchantress has no problems gaining exp though.

Any Ideas guys?
