ok so when im on the forums on my computer, i see little green "dots" next to peoples names, what are they and how do you get them?
Also how can you tell how many thanks you have and/or how many thanks you have received?

Thats the reputation system. You get ranked with "thanks" aka props.

the green dot next to peoples name means that the person is currently online with regards to their forum account. if its gray, theyre offline
as for the green bars, you can see thren's post :)

Top right corner, go to settings. There you can see who thanked you and on what post. It will show your total number of rep given and recieved.
