How is it that the guy entertaining and this other guy cowboy (in the guild cot) are able to get names that are already in use? Ive seen them selling names as well, which is against tos. But anyway how do u do it? Cuz theres a name i want. I assume u just email sts and if the name has been inactive for a long time then they will compensate u?

If the name is inactive I believe you can request the name. Don't quote me on it.

Sts will give you a name if it's inactive and you have the plat. I wouldn't consider selling names against the tos, they aren't giving out account email or passwords, just toon names. Though i suppose it would be very easy to scam someone.

If a name is very inactive (like last login was a year ago) and you get MJOLSTIN ;), you may get the name you requested. I got Noodle for one of my twinks... For free :)

Thanks guys! Was wondering how they do it. And selling a name is against tos because u r only suppose to trade gold for items. Not guilds and names which are essentially non tradable, just to clear that up
Oh and Entertaining and I both got our 'ing' names without support. My ing name is Improving btw. You should see ents other characters name.. Oh gawd

Just send in a ticket to support, they'll hook you up. They will give you the option to have 50 plat deducted from your account for a name change or I believe you can make an extra toon slot and they can add a toon there with the requested name. When I got Fiction, I just had them rename my bear for me and they took the 50 plat required right off my account.

Necro is when a topic is dead. Doesn't necessarily have to be dead for a certain amount of time.

Even then, it's more of an opinion on whether or not a thread is dead. Generally, it is considered dead when it has no recent posts or a recent change makes it oudated. Neither have happened. I guess it has been a bit derailed by now.

When I asked for the name Ghost, I was surprised to hear that nobody had it. The devs accidentally granted 50 plat to me rather than taking it away... lol. Good times (and yes, that 50 plat was soon taken away).

Yes, I may have the name Zeus, but there wouldn't be a single name I'd trade for it. For Ely, God is the name he wouldn't trade for any name. It's an opinion, we could argue and argue on, but there simply would not be a conclusion.
