Today, I wanted to spread the love a bit and bring you some Warrior information. If you missed the recent updates, check out these two threads for tid bits on the Mage and Rogue
Mage thread: http://www.spacetimestudios.com/showthread.php?72587-Arcane-Legends-Playing-the-Dev-version-while-the-servers-are-down-Mage-info!

Enough of those classes, lets look a bit closer at ye big 'ol brute! The Warrior!
As we learned in yesterday's Mage thread, there are a lot of different ways you can build out your character, depending on how you spend your skill and stat points. You only have 4 active skill slots on your bar, so choosing which to have and how you build them out will be a big part of defining your character.
In playing around, I made my way down into a spooky mine and fought the goblins that live there, in a quest to reunite a wayward pet with his master. Here is a look at the Skyward Smash skill. One of the cool things the art team has done with Warrior skills, is transform your weapon depending on the skill. The Skyward Smash skill is a hammer BLAM! which wouldn't really make sense if you were BLAMing critters with a sword, no? So, my sword transforms into the hammer to apply the SMASHing! Take a look:
Here I am sizing up the two goblins guarding this bridge. My plan is to charge up Skyward Smash and then apply the beatdown to the left goblin as an opener to the melee.

I press and hold the skill button and the skill charges up, ready for action!

and I LEAP into action!

BLAM!

Pretty cool, eh? I don't have Skyward Smash fully slotted with skill points and there is still a decent bit of tuning going on with skills. Right now in development there are 4 different upgrades for Skyward Smash: increase the area of effect, damage increase, chance to stun and a chance to return some of the mana cost of the skill (so you can do more SMASHING!).

Here is a shot of my Warrior, Grawn, standing in the Traveller's Outpost next to the portal (that allows easy Arcane travel to different locations) and the Alchemist.
