Force gun bugged shot

The force gun shot goes out but doesn't attack enemy's when the character is moving. It's as if I attack but doesn't have a target for the shot to go to, so the shot just go in front of my character while he is moving . I thought it was a range problem but even at short range it happens. Can it be looked into? Thanks.
