The most important stat in level 5 PVP is M/s. The fights are long (but not too long) since the lack of many abilities, and therefore, the one who could survive a long battle wins. As many of you already know, I made a guide for level 5 paladin twinks. The common denominator for these two classes are heal. If you are able to heal over your enemies DPS and for a certain time (Due to M/s) you will be the winner. To get high M/s there is only one way to go. You need to have a INT build for the M/s gear!

This is my guide about the Level 5 Enchantress. I've been playing on my level 5 enchantress twink since 2011, and I've seen the changes over the years. This guide is up to date (see bottom of thread for update info) and it will guide YOU to to success, just by following it!

In this guide, I am going to show you how to make your own level 5 Enchantress twink, and how I did it. I have done research and experiments to find the best build out there. Since there isn't much mechanics at this low level, I have dived into the details of each small part. And the best of all - you will be able to find it all here!

What does it costs to make a level 5 Enchantress Twink?
It is cheap to make a level 5 enchantress twink. If you want to go for the cheapest solution and just buy the gear in one of my presets, the price is about 30k Gold (Helmet + Armor) and 15 Platinum (10 Platinum Face + 5 Platinum Staff).

Here I have collected all of the top gear avaible for a level 5 enchantress with 22 Base INT. Note that you probably DON'T need every single piece here, which you can read more about in part 4 - Gear Presets.

Jester’s Mage Hat
Base Req: Level 5, 16 Base Int
Armor for your head.
1 Int, 1% Dodge, 2 Armor

Crafted at Burke The Blacksmith in Forest Haven Towne. Can also be bought in CS.

Comment: I have Lynsorian Combat Cowl as a favorite due to its higher armor together with M/s. If you are going to buy just the best gear and nothing els, Lynsorian Combat Cowl is the helmet to go for.

1.2 Armor

63768
Alchemist’s Heavy Cloth Armor
Base Req: Level 5, 22 Base Int
Finely crafted cloth armor!
7 Int, 6% Hit, 3% Crit, 6 M/s, 4 Armor

Woven from the silk of ancient spider mystics.
3 Int, 2 Mana, 1 Damage, 2 Armor

63768
Lynsorian Combat Cloth

A tattered survivor of the ancient wars!
3 Int, 2% Crit, 1 H/s, 1 M/s, 4 Armor

Randomly drops from mobs in Forest Haven. Can also be bought in CS.

Comment: This is the main part of why INT are better that other builds. The pink armors gives high M/s (5 or 6) which is a lot for a level 5 character. I also have the other armors for different reasons, you can read more about it later in this thread. Choose which one that fits your game style best!

1.3 Weapon

63769
Necromancer's Darkbolt Staff
Base Req: Level 5, 18 Base Int
A enchanted weapon!
34-70 Damage, 1.2 Speed, 3 Int, 1% Hit, 1 H/s, 1 M/s

Bought from the Platinum Store for 5 Platinum.

63769
Wizard's Darkbolt Staff
Base Req: Level 4, 15 Base Int
A enchanted weapon!
32-69 Damage, 1.2 Speed, 2 Int, 1% Hit, 1 M/s, 1 Armor

Bought from the Platinum Store for 5 Platinum.

63769
Student’s Lightning Bolt Staff
Base Req: Level 5, 17 Base Int
A magic weapon!
25-61 Damage, 1.1 Speed, 1 Dex, 1 Int, 1 Armor

Bought from the Platinum Store for 5 Platinum.

63769
Jester’s Black Firebolt Staff
Base Req: Level 4, 14 Base Int
A magical firebolt staff!
22-52 Damage, 1.1 Speed, 1 Int, 1% Dodge, 1 Armor

Randomly drops from mobs in Forest Haven. Can also be bought in CS.

63769
Student’s Black Firebolt Staff
Base Req: Level 4, 14 Base Int
A magical firebolt staff!
22-52 Damage, 1.1 Speed, 1 Dex, 1 Int, 1 Armor

Randomly drops from mobs in Forest Haven. Can also be bought in CS.

63769
Thinker’s Black Firebolt Staff
Base Req: Level 4, 14 Base Int
A magical firebolt staff!
22-52 Damage, 1.1 Speed, 1 Int, 1% Hit, 1 Armor

Randomly drops from mobs in Forest Haven. Can also be bought in CS.

63769
Dark Wand of Smarts (Common)
Base Req: Level 2, 10 Base Int
A dark-energy weapon!
12-28 Damage, 1.1 Speed, 1 Int

Discontinued wand. Was sold from NPC in class tutorial during the beginning of Pocket Legends.

63774
The Bling Flinger (Trash)
Base Req: Level 1, 6 Base Dex
A stylish crossbow weapon!
7-19 Damage, 0.8 Speed

Bought from the Platinum Store for 5 Platinum.

Comment: For enchantresses, staff is the best choice when it comes to weapon. The fire staffs got a bit less DPS than the others, but also gives you the combo together with Frostbite called Ice Melt. I also got the crossbow, The Bling Flinger, which reqires you to have my INT/DEX build to use. This weapon have lower damage than staffs, but gives you a 12m range instead of 10, and therefore the ability to kite your opponents easier.

1.4 Shield

65343
Demon-Eye Bracer (Trash)
Base Req: Level 2, 9 Base Int
High-fashion magical protection.
1 Armor

Discontinued bracer. Was sold from NPC in class tutorial during the beginning of Pocket Legends and was named Demonic Eyeball Bracer back then.

Comment: This bracer is no longer sold by the vendor, but you can buy it from people that have saved the item. You may have to pay a lot since this item is discontinued. The only reason to equip this bracer is if you also use the Dark Wand of Smarts which also are discontinued.

1.5 Ring
-

There is no rings for level 5 characters.

23082

Some weapons got secret procs on hit, and here have I collected my recommended weapons procs. The proc chances may not be 100% correct since I tested this out myself, but are in a close range.

2.1 Necromancer's Darkbolt Staff

Weakness
-10 Armor
-10 Damage
Low proc chance (about 10%), stackable

2.2 Wizard's Darkbolt Staff

Weakness
-10 Armor
-10 Damage
Low proc chance (about 10%), stackable

21683

There is one combo that a level 5 enchantress can create at thier own. That one is called Ice Melt (can also be called Steam!) and requires Frostbite and a fire weapon. If you hit a target with a firebolt weapon after they are frozen by Frostbite you will take an additional 10-50 % of the weapon base damage. This makes the choise of weapon more exciting!

The Necromancer's Darkbolt Staff got higher damage than the Jester’s Black Firebolt Staff, but since the later one is a fire staff, it can cause Ice Melt. But is the lack of damage worth it? I did some calculations to show the difference:

3.1 Weapons DPS

Necromancer's Darkbolt Staff
34-70 Damage
1.2 Speed
DPS*: 41,6 -> 42 (Since PL doesn’t handle decimals I guess it just rounds it to the closets integer)

Jester's Black Firebolt Staff
22-52 Damage
1.1 Speed
DPS*: 32,93 -> 33 (Since PL doesn’t handle decimals I guess it just rounds it to the closets integer)

3.2 Calculations

Ice Melted! / Steam!
10-50 % Base Damage

Frostbite
4 Sec. cooldown

Jester's Black Firebolt Staff DPS with Ice Melt

Lowest: (+0,55 Ice Melt) = 33,55
10 % of 22 = 2,2
2,2 / 4 = 0,55

Average: (+2,625 Ice Melt) = 35,625
30 % (Average) of 35 (Average) = 10,5
10,5 / 4 = 2,625

Highest: (+6,5 Ice Melt) = 39,5
50 % of 52 = 26
26 / 4 = 6,5

3.3 Conclusion

This shows that Jester’s Black Firebolt Staff do have higher DPS if it always hits at it’s highest values. Since this isn’t possible we have to go with the average and then the Necromancer's Darkbolt Staff is better, but won't give any unexpected burst damage.

* DPS = Damage Per Second

23083

This is some tips on gear combinations you could use. My primary presets are the balanced ones, but the other may comes handy at some situations. I do also list the items I listed above that I don't use on a daily basis, and explain why I don't use them.

4.1 Balanced (Damage)

Helmet:
Lynsorian Combat Crowl

Armor:
Alchemist’s Heavy Cloth Armor

Weapon:
Necromancer's Darkbolt Staff

Shield:
-

Ring:
-

This is a balanced all-around gear, but with some tweaks to be used for damage. I find out this preset to be the best in general PVP.

4.2 Balanced (Armor)

Helmet:
Lynsorian Combat Crowl

Armor:
Alchemist’s Heavy Cloth Armor

Weapon:
Wizard's Darkbolt Staff

Shield:
-

Ring:
-

This is a balanced preset like the previous one, but focus more on defense with 1 more Armor. I use this preset against higher levels and classes that makes high damage. This preset are also perfect for you who likes to kite.

4.3 Max Armor

Helmet:
Lynsorian Combat Crowl

Armor:
Sorcerer Heavy Cloth Armor

Weapon:
Jester’s Black Firebolt Staff

Shield:
-

Ring:
-

This preset is just for maxing out armor.

4.4 Max Damage

Helmet:
Quickening Combat Crowl

Armor:
Quickening Combat Cloth

Weapon:
Necromancer's Darkbolt Staff

Shield:
-

Ring:
-

This preset is just for maxing out damage.

4.5 Gear that I do not use, and why

I don’t use some of the gear I have for my preset for various causes. This is the reasons why I don’t use them:

Gear
Reason

Ancient Mystical Robes
Ancient Mystical Tiara
The Ancient Tiara was the best helmet before the new purple helmet came to the game. That’s why I bought the Premium Enchantress Armor Set. I suggest you to not buy these now since there is better gear that’s both cheaper and easy to obtain.

Mentalist’s Combat Crowl
Mentalist's Combat Cloth
Ceralis Combat Crowl
Ceralis Combat Cloth
Lynsorian Combat Cloth
These items aren't better than my others, so therefore I don't use them. I got these more of a collector reason. Since they are pretty good, I think it would be fun to atleast have them. Together with the helmets named the same they form a cool set, colored Black (Ceralis) and Blue (Lynsorian) etc.

Jester’s Mage Hat
Even one more step back in time, before the new purple helmets and the Premium Enchantress Armor Set, this was the best helmet for level 5 enchantresses. Now it’s not good enought anymore, but I’d still have the helmet in my inventory.

Student’s Lightning Bolt Staff
This staff was the best one before the platinum store updated its content and the Darkbolt Staffs became green and better.

Student’s Black Firebolt Staff
Thinker’s Black Firebolt Staff
These staffs is similar to the Jester’s Black Firebolt Staff, but with different stats. The Thinker’s 1% Hit isn’t bad, but I suggest you to use Necromancer's Darkbolt Staff instead while looking for a good DPS staff. But if you don’t want to spend 5 Platinum , the Thinker’s Black Firebolt Staff is a good choice since the chance of Ice Melt proc!

Dark Wand of Smarts (Common)
Demon-Eye Bracer (Trash)
These items are the only wand/bracer available at level 5. Since these items are discontinued, it is both hard and expensive to get them. The items it self are not as good as other weapon alternatives, but they are the coolest items you can own at this level.

23085

There is only one Vanity Item that is better to have. That is the Founder’s Helm. If you don’t got that helmet, I suggest you to use any one of your own choice. Note that some Vanity Helmets are giving 1 Armor as a bonus stat!

5.1 Vanity Helmet

63770
Founder’s Helm
Base Req: Level 1
For being part of PL since the start!
5 Damage, 5 Armor

This is the only Vanity item for low level players (< level 60) that gives stats more than 1 Armor. The only way to get this Vanity Helmet is if you started to play Pocket Legends in the first month it was released. If you did, then it would appear in your stash.

63413

These next Vanity's are just used due to the look. These is the ones I use. Do you want to copycat me? Use these below. Otherwise, choose what ever you think looks best!

5.2 Vanity Armor

63771
Deep Mountain Armor
Base Req: Level 1
Protects from both the chill of the underground, and the sharpest of metals. Dwarven Craftsmanship at its finest!

Bought from the Platinum Store for a limited time as a bundle for 150 Platinum.

5.3 Vanity Shield

63771
Viridian Holoshield
Base Req: Level 1
Protects against THE most stubborn Vular!

Bought from the Platinum Store for a limited time for 15 Platinum.

5.4 Vanity Pet

63772
Bats
Base Req: Level 1
You can't leave home without your little friends!

Bought from the Platinum Store for 250 Platinum.

Comment: If you're not having Founder's Helm, be sure to use a vanity that gives 1 Armor since every single stat is worth much at such a low level. Otherwise, choose what ever Vanity's you want to use! They are implemented to give you a option to customize your look, so be sure to take advantage of that. A certain look may scare your opponents!

23086

There are some different faces you can choose between to boost your stats a bit more. Three of them costs 5 Platinum and doesn’t give stats at all, they’re just for the look, and there is some of them for 10 Platinum which gives stats. These are the following faces:

6.1 5 Platinum (No stats)

Name
Stats

Ms. Natural
-

Sun Elf
-

Sunkissed Elf
-

6.2 10 Platinum (Gives stats)

Name
Stats

Fierce
3 INT, 1 Crit

Dark Elf
3 INT, 2% Hit

Darker Elf
3 INT, 7 Health

Geisha Face
3 INT, 4 Mana

Goth Glamor
3 INT, 1 Armor

Lady Lynx
3 INT, 1 Dodge

Skeleton Mask
3 INT, 1 STR, 1 DEX

Orcish Elf
3 INT, 2 STR

Red Elf
3 INT, 2 DEX

Tattoed Elf
3 INT, 1 Damage

Comment: You can choose which face you want, but I recommend to use Goth Glamor due to its +1 Armor, or Tattooed Elf due to the extra damage, depending on your game style. The stats may sounds low, but at level 5 there is an advantage of using the right face, compared to higher levels.

23087

7.1 Enchantress starting stats

Base STR: 1
Base DEX: 2
Base INT: 7

At level 5 you have 20 points to spend. To be able to use all the best gear for level 5, don’t go under 22 in Base INT.

7.2 Builds

Full Intelligence

Base STR: 1
Base DEX: 2
Base INT: 27

Full Intelligence for a Enchantress speak for itself. There is absolutely nothing bad about this build, but if you like to experiment, I would suggest you to use my Int/Dex build presented below. If you already got a Full Int build and don't want to spend plat on changing it, I suggest you too stay with this build. There isn't too high benefits with my Int/Dex build.

Intelligence / Dex

Base STR: 1
Base DEX: 7
Base INT: 22

This build is similar to the Full Intelligence build, but in the end gives 1 more armor and about 1 higher skill damage. The differences are minimal compared with the Full Intelligence build, but as I mentioned before - at this low level, every bonus stat is important. I do really suggest you to use this build.

23088

All skills presented are the skills you can have at level 5. The skill's damage/debuffs/buffs/range are collected with 1 Base STR, 2 Base DEX and 7 Base INT (starting stats) and no gear equipped. Obvious, those stats gets higher dependence of your INT, so with gear equipped, you will see higher skill stats.

8.1 Available Skills

19126

Frostbite (Available at level 2)

Rank 1
12 mana, 4s. cool-down, 12m range
19-27 damage, 2s. freeze debuff

Rank 2
12 mana, 4s. cool-down, 12m range
25-37 damage, 3s. freeze debuff

Rank 3
12 mana, 4s. cool-down, 12m range
27-47 damage, 4s. freeze debuff

This spell freezes the target which is really good to keep the enemy out of range from you.

19127

Lightning (Available at level 3)

Rank 1
16 mana, 3s. cool-down, 8m area
27-37 damage, debuff DMG -1, HIT% -1 & ARMOR -2 for 3s.

Rank 2
16 mana, 3s. cool-down, 8m area
32-47 damage, debuff DMG -1, HIT% -1 & ARMOR -2 for 5s.

Rank 3
16 mana, 3s. cool-down, 8m area
37-87 damage, debuff DMG -1, HIT% -1 & ARMOR -2 for 7s.

I use this spell to make more burst damage, but it also gives the enemy(s) an armor debuff which makes your other damage higher against those enemies. Note that this is an AOE (Area of Effect) attack, which means that it hits all nearby enemies within an 8m area.

19128

Heal (Available at level 4)

Rank 1
16 mana, 3s. cool-down, 8m area
Heal 30-60, clears negative effects

Rank 2
16 mana, 3s. cool-down, 8m area
Heal 40-80, clears negative effects

Rank 3
16 mana, 3s. cool-down, 8m area
Heal 50-100, clears negative effects

The main spell that keeps the Enchanress alive in PVP combat. It will heal you and friendly targets close to you (in an 8m area) and also break your negative effects. This means if you and/or a friendly target within an 8m area are frozen or rooted, Heal will break that effect. Heal will also remove any debuffs on you and/or friendly targets within the 8m area.

8.2 Builds

Defensive build

Frostbite (Rank 1)
Lightning (Rank 1)
Heal (Rank 2)

This is the build I use. Absolutly the best build for survival. You don't have too many choices at level 5, but if you want to be more focused on offensive spells, go for my offensive build instead.

Offensive build

Frostbite (Rank 1)
Lightning (Rank 2)
Heal (Rank 1)

This is a more offensive build than my other. This gives you chance to burst your opponents better with lightning, but don't forget level 5 PVP is much about surviving long fights.

Minor improvements

EDIT 2013-01-17 Thread Update

I have updated the thread with two NEW parts; Weapon Procs & Faces. This is things I've already added to my level 5 rhino twink guide, and therefore decided to add them here as well.

Done in the latest edit:

Added Weapon Procs
Added Faces
Added The Bling Flinger
Added comments to some parts
Changed some text
Random minor fixes

EDIT 2012-12-14 Winter Fest Update

This update came with some new features, biggest of them all three new classes. For level 5 enchantresses, there is one more interesting feature in this update. STS changes the stats of Necromancer's Darkbolt Staff so it's now actually the best staff for a level 5 character.
I have tested some different build/combos for the Ranger and Paladin classes at level 5, but the Enchantress is still the best class. I do have an interesting build on a Paladin tho, but I maybe come up with that in the future.

Done in the latest edit:

Added Necromancer's Darkbolt Staff
Added Lynsorian Combat Cowl
Added Lynsorian Combat Cloth
Added Ceralis Combat Cloth
Updated with a Int/Dex build
NEW layout
Random minor fixes
Added a link to my NEW Level 5 Rhino Twink Guide

For a mocked level, this is one brilliant guide. You've obviously spent time on it and I love it. More guides should make me want to try that level, and this one does just that. Gf my friend, gf.

Thank you! It is almost empty with Twinks, but there is pretty many games with lvl 1-9 out there! I'm trying to keep out from level 10+ twink games since you are chanceless against those twinks with forgotten bow etc.

Very nice guide again !! :)

Lil' tip : you can center photos and tittles by doing [CENTER ] [/ CENTER] without the spaces :)

Thanks! Of course you can! Feel free to link to this guide as well if you want to :)

Bump

Updated the guide with new layout and information, mostly because of the winter fest update.
Hope you like it even more now! :)

There is actually only a few games a day if you want to play against others around level 5. I am able to beat level up to 12 non-twinks pretty easy, so you can join higher level games too, but watch out for fb twinks while joining these games!

I use the one which is balanced def. although I die against lvl 10's. can you give me some tips? My stats are 22 int, 7 dex, 1 frostbite, 2 lightning, and 1 heal. Can you give me tips how to defeat them?

I used to just host games with my level one and then join with my level 5, then I could hunt nubs

If the level 10's uses Forgotten Bow, you are dead x10, but otherwise there shouldn't be any problems for you.

Really impressive guide (Same goes for the Rhino one)!

Much better than most others where they don't even bother to write out full item names and instead just say xbow, artisan, etc. Thanks for this quality guide. I'll add you, my IGN is EggTwinkie. Maybe you can melt my face off a few times. :)
