I can tell you that the demon in the Forbidden Crypt does drop hammers, but so far I have only seen basic warhammers.

I think he could drop a purple hammer if he drops gray ones. But I am just guessing. Generally, the boss who drops a gray, white, or orange version of something is the some one who will drop the green, purple, or pink version.

Until AO2, items don't drop from specific bosses. The rates for the hammer were nerfed, making the drops very hard to get anything about gray/white hammers. They should drop anywhere in Fathom, but they are hard to get.
