The "Sworn Protectors of Rusk" are the Rusk family's personal guard. They are recruited when they are quite young, and from the poorest families in the neighboring villages. Each conscript is given a unique opportunity: Give your life to Rusk. When you perish your family will receive the Servant's Trove: a chest filled with gold, jewels, and magical items... a portion of wealth that will forever elevate the station of a conscript's family. If a conscript dies in combat protecting Rusk or a member of the Great Man's family then the conscript's family receives a tenfold gift of the Champion's Trove: a massive carriage made of gold, with golden wheels, pulled by twin Arcanite Stallions, filled with magical artifacts.

Sworn Protectors are trained by the wizened war-masters of Arlor and equipped with the finest armor...

How to Play

Speak with Rylie Rusk in Windmoore to collect a daily quest and get started.

Enter the portal and begin the mission to escort Peylon to Kraag safely.

You'll run alongside Peylon's armored caravan and fend off waves of enemies along the road, culminating in a face-off against Tokras Fel himself.

Each time you enter the event zone Rusk Industries will give you a bundle of 'Rusk Dynamite,' and a flask of 'Rusk Nitro.' When used, they will drop at your location and effect a radius of 5m.

Use the Dynamite to instantly blow-up barriers that exist along the road. Use the Nitro to speed up the Rusk Weapon Wagon. But watch out! Nitro over-drives the Weapon Wagon engines and the heat makes the Wagon much more vulnerable to enemy attacks.

Look for the blue 'targeting area' to show where a bomb needs to be dropped to hit a barrier. If you drop it too far outside of the range you'll lose the bomb and the barrier will be untouched.

It's a race against time to slay the hoards before the caravan can't take anymore and is destroyed, Peylon along with it.

Points will be awarded after each wave, along with tokens each successful run!

Tokras Fel also has a chance to drop the Tokras Fel Badge!

Using the new Farmer's Elixir will compel Rusk Industries to give you extra Dynamite, Nitro, and award +15% bonus event points while active.

Star Beast Daggers Proc info:
Charged attacks summon the "Supernova" buff aura (if not on cooldown)!
This aura surrounds you with cosmic energy and deals heavy damage to close-range targets. Afflicted enemies lose armor (75% in PvE, 50% in PvP) while in the grasp of the Supernova. The "Supernova" buff incurs a twelve (12) second cooldown.

Star Beast Staff Proc info:
Standard attacks apply the "Dark Void" debuff (if not on cooldown)! This effect lasts for five (5) seconds and reduces target damage by 50% (25% in PvP).
Charged attacks apply the "Dead Space" debuff to enemies (if not on cooldown)! This effect lasts for seven (7) seconds and reduces target armor by 75% (50% in PvP).
Subsequent standard and charged attacks do significantly more damage. Targets afflicted with "Dead Space" will be pushed by standard attacks (charged attacks always push enemies that are not immune).

Star Beast Shield Proc info:
Standard attacks apply the "Cosmic Corrosion" debuff (if not on cooldown)! This effect lasts for five (5) seconds and reduces target movement speed by 50% (25% in PvP).
Charged attacks create a "Void Vortex" that pulls nearby enemies, stuns them (for up to 3.5 sec) and debuffs enemy armor by 50% (25% in PvP) if not on cooldown! This effect lasts for seven (7) seconds.
Subsequent standard attacks do significantly more damage to enemies afflicted by either debuff.

The vendor sells an unlimited quantity of the locked event crates so I don't think there would be much gold to make from the looted versions.

However, as an Arlorian Legend you're a 'free agent,' and you're not gonna wind up sworn to serve Peylon Rusk!

Also I went ahead and removed that portion of the backstory / lore so it doesn't confuse anyone. ;-)

Hmm I feel something odd from this upcoming event. True based on description it says it's an energy-free event but I feel like the difficulty of this upcoming event will be hella tough. (Something like it won't be playable by many)

It's really hard to solo this at low levels so for that I suggest going with a team. You also get a lot more out of the Dynamite and Nitro if you have at least one friend running with you - since you can strategize about when to boost the wagon speed and when to blast the barriers. Mid / Late game tests were still pretty challenging solo but not impossible. Minion health and damage are relatively unchanged from the 2022 run of this event. Tokras Fel, on the other hand, got a significant buff so be careful with him.

The first post after the announcement lists all the stuff you can get for tokens. Excellent trade-friendly vanity items plus an instant-open currency chest and an instant-open Rusk Power Weapon crate (which is a grab bag style of chest full of Legendary weapons ranging from Level 1 to 60).

True. Star Beast Daggers, a Star Beast Staff and the Star Beast Shield can be looted from the event locked crates. They differ from the Chakram, Orb and Chain Sword with respect to stats and the proc mechanics so please read the details carefully.

The Rusk Force Energy event is different - and it will be happening soon, and we do plan to offer some new powerful weaponry.

It's really hard to solo this at low levels so for that I suggest going with a team. You also get a lot more out of the Dynamite and Nitro if you have at least one friend running with you - since you can strategize about when to boost the wagon speed and when to blast the barriers. Mid / Late game tests were still pretty challenging solo but not impossible. Minion health and damage are relatively unchanged from the 2022 run of this event. Tokras Fel, on the other hand, got a significant buff so be careful with him.



The first post after the announcement lists all the stuff you can get for tokens. Excellent trade-friendly vanity items plus an instant-open currency chest and an instant-open Rusk Power Weapon crate (which is a grab bag style of chest full of Legendary weapons ranging from Level 1 to 60).

True. Star Beast Daggers, a Star Beast Staff and the Star Beast Shield can be looted from the event locked crates. They differ from the Chakram, Orb and Chain Sword with respect to stats and the proc mechanics so please read the details carefully.





The Rusk Force Energy event is different - and it will be happening soon, and we do plan to offer some new powerful weaponry.



Originally planned on these only being at Level 1 and every 10th level starting at Level 10... but we will consider it.

True - the contents are random and span levels 1 to 60. Specifically Level 1, Level 10, 20, 30, 40, 50 and 60.

When you open the chest you have a chance to get any of the items for any of the levels or classes.
